Hey guys, you remember me?

Probably not, and I seriously don't blame you for that.

But I decided to set things straight and reveal long hidden truths (the mystery, the mystery…).

Ok, seriously, I really do apologize, but then again, I did that already a few times beforehand, did I not? So let's start from the beginning. The reasons for my long, long absence are as follows:

1. This all consuming, nerve wrecking Twilight hype. Since the day I took my first book into

my hands, I was a literature lover of the serious kind. Where others spent their money on

clothes, I spend it on books. Fantasy, Crime Thrillers, Romances, Classics and whatever and so on. Now, I won't claim that I "have-read-Twilight-long-before-it-was-famous", but when I read it, I of course fell in love with it. But here's the thing, I think a book is a book and not a product. Don't get me wrong, I look forward to the movies like everyone else, I love all the little extras like everyone else. I'm not some kind of stuck up literature freak who has a bookmark up her ***.

But in the end, it just got too loud for me, is all. The hype was too much for me, I took the fun out of the fandom.

We come to reason number

2. in which we come to the unveiling of long hidden truths. And it's simple really. I am not 22

years old. I am not studying. Melanie is not my name. Melanie is another personality I

invented specially for this site in the rather naïve belief that older writers were more

respected than young ones. I'm still not sure about it. But to be blunt:

I'm sixteen years old, still attending school. I decided to keep the synonym Melanie,

simply out of security for myself. Another reason for Melanie was the rating of a few of the

stories I wanted to post. But I've seen others with M-rated stories here who claimed to be

seventeen, sixteen or even fifteen and it didn't look as if anybody respected them and their

stories less because of that. And I know that it probably doesn't bother half of you anyway

but just so that it's said:

I'm anything but naïve and nether are you. We are living in an age in which anybody my age

doesn't at least have the general knowledge of things has to live under a rock. We are also

living in a age in which it is perfectly normal for somebody in my age to have more or less

experience in such things. End of the story and I'm not saying anything more to this.

So, school was never so much stress as in the last year and I simply didn't have the time.

I'm frankly not expecting it to become any easier for now because I'm coming nearer and

nearer to my Abitur, the German general qualification for university entrance. Just I think I

have adapted by now, so hurray. But also, being sixteen and from Germany means that I'm

learning English for six years and a little bit longer now, and while it's my favourite curse,

sometimes it's still hard to write in English, which I hope you can understand.

That are the reasons for now, on to more enjoyable things. The continuation of 'Blood Sprinkled Freesia". Today, I will take all existing chapters down to work them over and put this Author's Note up instead. I've come to the conclusion that, since I so spectacularly failed in keeping promises and regularly updating, I will write at least to chapter twenty before starting to post again, so I have a head-start. Also, now that I have found my muse again, I have several one shots planned, in this fandom and others. But I won't make any promises on when, that would be unfair to you and to myself.

What gave me my muse for Twilight back?

Well, the New Moon movie of course.

You can say about Pattinson and Stewart what you want, but their kiss scenes are breathtaking!
