Reminicing

50 years has pass and Rodrigo is sitting on the porch of Lucille's vegetable patch and missing Biggmomma and the children.

A young colt walks up and strikes up a conversation with Rodrigo.

As they talk the young colt asked him how he lost his family, he tells the young colt he lost them during the war and drifts off as tge song begins to play.

Old man DeLaMenza lived in that white house

down the road where I grew up

mom send used to send me over with things

we struck a friendship up

I spent a few long summers out own his front porch swing

He says he was in the war in the Navy

lost his wife, lost his babies

broke down and asked him one time

how'd you keep from going crazy

he said "i'll see my wife and children in just a little while"

I asked him what he means

he looked at me and smiled, said

(chorus)

I raise my paws, bow my head

I'm finding more and more truth in the words written in red

they tell me that there's more to life than just what i see

o, I believe

few years later, I was off at college

talkin to mom on the phone one night

gettin all caught up on the gossip

the ins and outs of a small town life

she said oh by the way old man DeLaMenza died

later on that night, I laid there thinkin back

thought 'bout a couple long lost summers

i didn't know whether to laugh or cry

if there anypony that deserve a ticket to the otherside

it'd be that sweet old man who looked me in the eyes said

(chorus)

I can't quote the book

the chapter or the verse

you can' t tell me it all ends in a slow rise in a hearse

you know 'm more and more convinced

the longer i like

yeah, this can't be

no, this can't be

no, this can't be all there is

(chorus)

I believe

oh, I

I believe

I believe

I believe

I believe

I believe

The young colt returns and goes to the house of Lucille's vegetable patch, where he first met Rodrigo and sits on the porch and begins to cry.
