PROMPT: Story must include a flashback and make a reference to a smell, aroma or fragrance.
The CSI stood inhaling the scent that permeated the air: a Jergen's original lotion bottle had spilled and dried on the floor. She could still make out the fragrance of cherry and almonds.
Sara's thoughts were unexpectedly drawn to her maternal grandmother.
She recalled a very old memory from her early childhood: the older woman rubbing the lotion on her arms as she had watched; she about three years old, her grandmother, maybe in her mid-50's.
Sara did know she was dead, but the details were nonexistent in her memory.
She wished there was someone to ask. But there wasn't.
