White walls. White sheets on a white bed, white tiles and a white door. White hospital gowns and bracelets. Dull blonde hair on equally white skin, baby blue eyes contrasting against the pale color.

A knock on the door.

The girl slides off the bed and slowly opens it, even though the door isn't locked. Because it can't lock.

"Yes?" She squeaks, not meeting the eyes of the person in front of her.

"The doctor would like to speak with you, sweetie."

The sound of footsteps echo off the hall's walls even though the girl's feet are clad in nothing but socks with grips at the bottom. Her steps are small and shy, as if she is confused as to where she's going. But she knows. It'd be hard to forget with all the time she's been there.

She reaches the room and twists the handle slowly, entering the room with her head low.

"Take a seat, dear." An all to familiar voice says. Her head springs up and, for the first time in years, she smiles.

"Daddy!" She squeals, engulfing her father in a hug. "You're here."

Her father smiles back at her. "It's time."

"Yes, John. Ms. Utonium is stable enough to go home. All we need you to do is sign these papers right here, and you can take her back." The doctor states, a smile crawling on her face.

"That's all? Does she need medication or anything?" John cocks an eyebrow, ready to scribble his name on the paper.

"Sadly, Mr. Utonium, there is no medication yet available for her particular strand of schizophrenia. We are, however, giving her 20mg of Zyprexa, which she will have to take at the same time every morning. It will help with the, er, hallucinations and … voices." John nods his head slowly and signs the paper, leaning back with a sigh. "She'll also need to attend weekly sessions with a psychiatrist. We've listed some close to you which we hope you call, for her sake…"

"Of course, doctor. Is that all?"

"Yup. She's free to go."

The blonde girl jumps up again and grabs her father's hand, a large smile on her face. "Come on, daddy! Let's go home!"

John smiles sadly and squeezes her hand. "Let's go, sweetie."

The girl opens the door of her suburban home and immediately runs up to her room. The walls are the same white, but less uninviting than the color of the hospital. The floor is soft due to the sky blue carpet. Her bed is made with a bed set that matches the floor, and her desk holds a brand new laptop. On it, there is a note that says, "So you can tell your friends that you're home." She squeals and goes to sit down when she hears a throat clear behind her. Her head whirls around to the white couch set against the only empty wall in her room. On it sits two girls around the same age as her. One has bright orange hair hanging loosely around her head, the hair skimming her waist and a bright pink bow sits atop her head. Striking pink eyes stare intently, as the girl next to her grins. Her face is framed by raven colored hair, lime green eyes popping out against her pale skin.

"Welcome home, Bubbles." The redhead says with a grin.

The other girl winks. "We missed you."

This isn't going to turn into a multi-chaptered story. This is just a short little .. prologue of sorts? There will only be one more chapter. I guess you can call it a one-shot with a prologue, if that's possible lol. Next chapter will be up by Wednesday hopefully.
