Stars twinkled faintly in the dark sky. Years after Mario's last visit to Space, Rosalina has been lonely. But, one day, a year after Mario left her forever, Rosalina discovered a small baby, supposedly left by Princess Peach, bound tightly in a blanket that barely gave it enough room to breathe. In red script on the tattered blanket, there was a marking, stating, Reject. Reject? Rosalina questioned herself. So that Peach just threw an innocent baby into space? Rosalina was obviously very upset. She tried to unwrap the blanket, but it was obvious this blanket was wrapped so tight as to ensure the baby wouldn't escape. She threw her hand into the air and summoned her gold, star-shaped want. She pointed it at the blanket, and it automatically disappeared. The baby cried out for a short second and wiggled in discomfort. "Oh no!" Rosalina cried out loud, "She's a human! She can't breathe! The blanket… it must've contained an air bubble spell." She summoned her wand again and placed it in the wailing (silently) baby's mouth. It immediately stopped and said, "Mama?" Rosalina smiled to herself and the baby, "I guess I am."

15 years later:

Cherry stood, looking at her mother. Her mother's eyes shone, proud of her daughter. Cherry summoned her staff. The totally ruby staff had vines twisted all around it, cherry blossoms engraved in the ruby. She did a karate kick and pointed her wand into the air. Fire came rushing out of the tip and into the sky. Cherry looked back down to her mother and grinned. Rosalina looked at Cherry's smug face and her expression turned hard. "Don't gloat. There are a million other sorcerers stronger than you," Rosalina scolded. Cherry frowned but nodded, obeying quickly. "Our practice is done for today," Rosalina said angrily. She remembered, after Cherry's gloating, who Cherry's real mother was. "Are you angry with me, mother?" Cherry said worriedly. "No, Peach," Rosalina replied. Cherry nodded. She's heard a lot about Peach over the past fifteen years, even though she didn't know why Peach made her mother so mad. She's heard how abusive, rude, untrustworthy, lying, and theiving she was. Cherry walked to her room. Why does she hate Peach so much? Cherry wondered. I am going to find out!
