Theory of Silence

The confident click of Cuddy's pumps echoed down the hallway as she made her way to House's office. It had already been a long day, and conversing with House guaranteed to make it even longer.

She burst through the glass doors of his office to see him curled up in his chair, fast asleep. Her heart tweaked as she realized how innocent he looked. She'd never looked at him that way; when he wasn't awake or talking, he almost looked... attractive. Pushing those thoughts away, she walked over to him and slapped a file to his chest, startling him awake.

House jumped and rubbed his eyes. "You know it's rude to wake people up," he leered at her.

Cuddy rolled her eyes. "Get up, you have a new case. And it's not a negotiation."

House glared at her, snatching the file off his chest. He jumped up from the chair, stepping into her personal space. "I already have a case." He said, shoving the file back at her as he looked down her shirt. "The girls are looking nice today." He stated.

She took a step back."You're a pig. And you don't have a case, your team has been in the clinic all week! You're taking it." She shoved the file at his chest once more. House was about to rebuttal before Cuddy cut him off.

"AND you owe me 6 hours of clinic duty this week, not to mention all the time you still owe me from last week. You're so behind on all your paperwork not even Cameron can save you now, and you've cost the hospital an MRI machine from your little stunt last month..."

Houses eyes were boring into her. He loved when she got all worked up, she was so sexy. It gave him a certain sense of man pride to know it was him who caused her chest to heave and her fists to clench in frustration. Minutes passed and Cuddy continued to lecture House on things that he had no intention of ever doing. His patience was wearing, and by the looks of it, so was hers.

When her rampage was finally over, House stepped into Cuddy's space once again. "I'll get right on that. Right after I help old ladies cross the street and save kittens from trees. You just can't rush these things you know." Smirking, he pushed the file back at her.

"House you're such an ass, why do you have to be so difficult?! Is it so hard to just-"

That was enough, House decided. If he didn't stop her ranting now, he'd be nagged into oblivion. He grabbed he hips and roughly shoved her up against the wall before attacking her lips with a passionate kiss. Completely shocked, Cuddy dropped the file, gasping as her back hit the wall, only allowing House to push his tongue into her mouth. His lips danced over hers, making sure that she had no escape.

She tried to resist and push him away, but his body was pressed against hers; she could barely breath, let alone move. House ran his hands up her body, pushing his fingers into the dark curly locks of her hair. Cuddy moaned into his mouth as he nibbled her bottom lip, being sure to cause slight pain.

Their tongues battled for dominance and Cuddy was no longer sure if she was trying to push him away or bring him closer. She wrapped her arms around his neck, feeling lightheaded.

Desperate for air, he broke the kiss and released her from her spot shoved up against the wall. Breathing heavily, Cuddy stumbled as House's body was no longer holding her up. Weak in the knees, she soothed the bite mark on her lip with her tongue.

"My theory was right," House stated proudly.

Cuddy gulped. "Theory?"

"I figured nothing I could say would shut you up, so I had to up the anti. And it worked, very well actually. If I didn't know any better I'd say you enjoyed that." With that House scooped up the file off the floor, and took off down the hall, leaving a very dazed Cuddy in his wake.

Yep, she thought. The day had certainly gotten longer.
