A/N: This just kind of happened while I was listening to some music yesterday. Book of Circus was my favorite arc in the anime, next to Book of Murder, as well as one of my top favorites in the manga and while I did like the circus troupe, I never gave Beast much thought. So I figured I'd write something for her. Let me know what you think of this. No flaming.
Disclaimer: I am not Yana Toboso so neither Kuroshitsuji nor the characters therein are in my possession.

Beast glared down at the flowers Joker had given her a few minutes before. She knew they were nothing more than a gesture to calm her still fuming temper. She would have preferred if they had been a gesture that the ringleader returned her feelings. But that was little more than wishful thinking.
Now that she was once again in the solitude of the tent in which she was the sole occupant, a luxury available to her as a first-string member, she sat down on her bed. Letting out a sigh of anguish, the tiger tamer tossed the flowers aside and hugged herself.
A part of her was angry at herself for feeling this way. He was her brother! Maybe not by blood, but still...but still she loved him. She loved him as any sister would her dear brother, but another kind of love had blossomed for him...
However, his feelings for her were purely a brother's love for his sister, a friend for a friend, nothing more and nothing less. He didn't know about the nights she lay awake in silence, staring up aimlessly and thinking of him, wishing for his arms around her, yearning for his lips to touch hers as they murmured the words she so desperately wanted to hear...
Why couldn't he see how much this was tearing her apart? Did he not realize that the flowers struck her as a pity gift, something that spawned more harm than help?
She glared at the flowers. The luminous blooms were meant to captivate, she knew that. Joker often used them whenever the troupe scoped out the streets of England, kidnapping unsuspecting children. The little children, boys and girls alike were always so entranced by the colorful bouquets as they burst from the tip of Joker's cane and the first-string performers whisked them away to what their innocent minds believed to be a Circus Wonderland as opposed to the grim reality of the fate that awaited.
The black-haired girl felt a tear slide down her cheek and let out a self-disgusted growl. Even in the privacy of her own tent, she would not allow herself to outwardly show how much Joker had hurt her, intentional or no.
He had hurt her...played with her...but oh, how she loved him still!
And that was the torment of it all...especially if her knew and refused to acknowledge it.
If only he knew how much he captivated her, just like the flowers captivated the children...
But what would that mean for her fate?

Well, I hope everyone enjoyed that. Feel free to let me know.
Also,a little announcement: I will be updating or publishing at least one story every day in July. It may be for any of the fandoms I write for, but rest assured each day there will be a story or chapter out every day this month. That's all for now. Kaiba-Girl out.
