I am sure it is obvious, but I own nothing.
And yes, I am aware this is short, but its more of a Prologue even if it is listed as a Chapter.
Buffy sat there staring at the colored sketch she made of the form she wore in the dreams she has been having the last few months. The figure had Platinum Blond hair, pale skin and silver eyes; dressed in slim white and black armor, with a dark half cape, and holding a large sword with a red symbol matching a white symbol just above her sternum. She has a serene expression and a faint smile.
Buffy was so focused on the picture that she didn't notice Willow walk up next to her.
"Buffy?" Willow asks, causing Buffy to jump. "Wow, I didn't think I could startle you like that, what with your hearing."
"Sorry Willow, I was distracted." Buffy says, then goes back to looking at the picture.
"Buffy, did you draw that?" Willow asks, getting a nod in response. "Who is she?"
"I have been having dreams of her every night for the last few months. She was wandering from village to village, slaying Monsters." Buffy explains distractedly.
"Okay, but who is she?" Willow asks again.
"I thinkā¦..I think she is me. " Buffy whispers. "It isn't clear, but during the dreams I get this feeling that they are more like memories."
At that moment Giles walks in the doors of the Library, glasses in hand and rubbing the lenses with a cloth.
"Giles? Whats wrong? You usually wait until after I do something to rub your glasses. If you are rubbing them before you are even near me than something must apocalyptic-y." Buffy teases Giles.
"I am sorry Buffy, but I just finished with a staff meeting. It seems the Snyder has created a list of students he is going to make chaperon children on Halloween. He will also be taking volunteers, however there are some students he is going to assign to the task. I caught a glimpse and you are on it. Costumes will be required for the Chaperons." Giles rubbing of his glasses becomes more rapid, worried how Buffy will react.
Buffy looks back to the sketch she drew, and idea forming. "Okay Giles, thanks for letting me know. It gives me time to get my costume together."
Giles looks at her startled and confused.
"What? You were worried I would beat the messenger? Sorry to disappoint you, but not this time." She teases.
"Quite." Giles mumbles. He then goes into his office.
"So Buffy, it sounds like you already know what you are going to go as." Willow says, trying to subtly hint that she would like to know.
"Yep." Buffy turns the picture to Willow. "I am going to go as her, Teresa of the Faint Smile."
