Something I wrote while listening to Say Something by A Great Big World.
I know it's slightly ooc for Will, but, bear with me as I get farther into Hannibal.
He sits and waits, staring at the door, after that fight, he doesn't think that Hannibal's coming back. Will looks down and swallows roughly, reaching over he turns up the radio, only to feel tears in his eyes. "Say something, I'm giving up on you." He sings along with the music, Hannibal hasn't said a word to him in days and all he wanted to know was why, what he hadn't expected was for Hannibal to blow up the way he did.
He keeps his head down and closes his eyes, the pendulum swinging in his mind, and it swings so many times, he's back to a memory where their laying together, and Will is laughing, he's happy and Hannibal has made him fee genuinely happy for the first time in forever. Will can't imagine it anymore, he opens his eyes and lets out a sob because /he's fucked up/.
He looks up again and stands up, punching a wall. He should have said something, because Hannibal gave up on him. He turns around when the door opens and he prays that it's Hannibal, but he's met with the concerned face of Jack Crawford. It's not like Will to cry on anyones shoulder, but he's lost the one thing that makes him happy.
"Say something, I'm giving up on you." floats into his head again and he goes over to the radio and turns it off. He turns when the door opens again, and thank the lord it's Hannibal. Everyone clears the room and leaves them to work out their issues, but the song that seems to still be filling the room says it all.
"Say something, I'm giving up on you / I'm sorry that I couldn't get to you Anywhere I would've followed you / Say something, I'm giving up on you / And I will swallow my pride / You're the one that I love / And I'm saying goodbye." fills the room and the two just stare at each other.
It's not of his own actions, but Will walks forward, sets a hand behind Hannibal's head, and pulls him down for a kiss. It's a searing, filled with passion, kiss. It says all that Will wants it to, because why use words, when this is easier?
