Since We last Met

(In all truth, I don't even know why I wrote this. Just bored I guess. But I was hit with inspiration so I just did it. I don't know how far I'll go with this or whether or not I'll finish, but if I get lots of good reviews, who knows?)

Kagome Higurashi stared blankly at the ceiling. She still wanted to cry but her tears had been all used up. It had just been a few weeks since it had happened. She had just come home for a few nights to stock up on supplies. But then, without warning, there was a great crash from outside. When she ran to investigate, she was met with the sight of the well house completely destroyed, along with the well which served as a portal to Feudal Japan and all her friends. The realization that she would never see Inuyasha and the others again hit her like a cannon ball. She had spent the next few weeks sobbing in her room. However, tomorrow her mother was forcing her to go back to school.

'School doesn't matter anymore' she thought grimly. 'Nothing matters anymore.' She willed herself to go to sleep. At lest in her dreams she could still be with Inuyasha.

The next day, she walked to school in a daze. 'I guess I should be thankful that my life is back to normal.' She stopped. 'But I'm not. I don't want a normal life. I want to see Inuyasha again.' A tremendous crash broke her out of her daze. She scanned her surroundings for the source of the noise. Kagome didn't have to look hard. Standing in a cloud of smoke a few blocks away was a massive centipede towering above the buildings. 'A…. demon!' Hearing screams in the distance, she rushed off.

As she was nearing the monster, she gathered her spiritual energy. 'I don't have a bow so I'll have to do this the old fashioned way.' Just as she was about to attack, she heard someone shout.

"Hey ugly!" The figure leaped off the building higher than any human could ever dream and drew a shining sword. Kagome's mouth went dry.

"I-Inuyasha!" The demon rounded on its assailant just in time to be sliced across the face with the figure's sword. As the centipede demon shrieked in pain, the mystery swordsman landed on another building and sheathed their sword.

"Time to end this!" He stuck his palms and shot a blast of emerald green flame from out of nowhere. Kagome's eyes widened at this.

"It… can't be. Could it? But it looks just like…. But that's obviously the voice of a teenager." The demon disintegrated in seconds and if it weren't for the obliterated buildings, it looked like nothing had ever happened. The mystery boy landed a few yards away from Kagome with his back turned. Apparently, he hadn't noticed the girl's presence. He cracked his and rotated his shoulder a bit, all the while muttering to himself. Kagome gulped and finally spoke.

"S-S-Shippou!" The boy started and turned around to face Kagome. His eyes widened and he took a step back. Kagome knew it was him at once. Despite the fact that he was much, much taller, more muscular, and his claws and fangs were more developed, he still had the same eyes.

"No… way. It's impossible. Kagome… its not… it couldn't….?" Kagome felt tears well up in her eyes and nodded. Before he knew what was happening, he was brought into a tight embrace.

"Kagome…. I thought I would never see you again." Kagome tightened the embrace and began to sob. Shippou hated to see girls cry. He cracked a smile.

"So…. ya got any pocky?"

(Okay, yeah, this was a short entry and not very well written. Don't worry, I know. Personally, I like the concept. But I'll only continue if I get lots of nice reviews. Oh, and later chapters, if any, will be neater, longer, and better. So if you like it or hate it, please review.)
