I tried something new this time. I wanted to see what it would be like to write a story with only speech.
I hope it's not too confusing!
"Dammit, Sammy. This is wrong. This is so damn wrong!"
"Dean, please, just calm down. I know how you feel."
"Oh, do you? Do you really know how I feel right now?"
"Of cour—"
"Well that's just a load of crap, and you know it."
"Dean…"
"Just stop it, okay? Just…stop. There's no way you'd understand."
"What?! Cas was my friend too, you know."
"Oh, yeah, sure. You guys were friends. Ain't that just peachy?"
"…"
"You guys were friends, sure. I know. But—"
"But what?"
"…"
"Dean…?"
"…But we…we were so much more."
"…what?"
"You heard me."
"Dean I…I didn't kno—"
"Of course you didn't, Sammy. Why the hell would I tell you that I was screwin' an angel?!"
"Well, it would've been nice to know. Ugh, but, Dean. Okay. That isn't the point. Look, I'm sorry. I don't know exactly how you feel, but I do know how it feels to lose a loved one. I mean, when Jess died—"
"I know. I know…but…this is a bit different."
"What do you mean?"
"Cas was…Cas was supposed to live longer than me, Sam. He was supposed to be immortal. I never thought that I'd be the one left behind. And up till now, he's always come zapping back every time he was blown away. Hell, he was even resurrected a few times, but now?"
"What?"
"Now…Cas is gone. Forever."
"There's still a chance he'll come back, Dean."
"No, there isn't. Not this time."
"How do you know?"
"…because Death himself led Cas away. And there's no way to change that. None. Not ever. Cas is gone because of me, and this time? Dammit, this time, it's for good."
