Breathing Again
Chapter 1
I scan her body as she lies next to me in my small bed, sleeping. Her chest slowly going up and down as she inhales and exhales. Her
pale skin gleaming from the warm sun that waited for us out side of my bedroom window. Her soft, light pink lips attached to her pale skin. She
was beautiful. I stroke her silky strawberry blonde hair. Her eyes slowly open as a small smile crosses her flawless face.
"Good morning." Delia's voice was like sweet music to my ears.
I kiss her forehead and grab her cold hands,"Morning."
Her fingers intertwine with mine, under the covers. Her emerald green eyes were glued onto mine, staring deep inside me.
"You're so beautiful." I whisper as my free fingers brush the hairs out of her face, letting me see even more of her unhidden beauty.
"You say that all the time, Carter."
I kiss her hand, "Because I never want you to forget it."
Her smile stays glued onto her face as we just lie there staring at each other. I breathe her in deep. Her beautiful eyes, lips, skin, body.
Everything.
Delia breaks the silence," Are we going to the beach today?"
"What time do you want to go?"
"Now."
"De, you know you have to see your therapist in about 30 minutes."
She shakes her head,"I canceled the appointment. I don't want to see Mr. Delaro today."
I sigh. Delia was always canceling her appointments. She had just gotten out of the mental hospital 2 months ago and she thinks she's fine.
But she isn't. She's far from it.
