Disclaimer: This story is for a friend of mine, who was miserable and I thought this would cheer her up.

Anyway, you all know what I'm going to say here. If you recognise it, I don't own it. If you don't recognise it, chances are I do own it. So please don't sue!

Enjoy the story.

Tuesday lay on the hospital bed, wires all around her. Each one recording her dying moments. Once in a while she would stir, look around and grumble in her mind that the monitors weren't necessary.

Then she remembered that soon it wouldn't matter.

When Tuesday wasn't looking at time lost to her, she reminisced on her life. Especially on one man.

Faramir.

Tuesday had been captivated by the young ranger from the first moment her eyes fell upon him in the cinema. As the adventure unfolded before her she felt herself slowly, undeniably being drawn towards him.

She hated to admit it, even to herself. But she had fallen in love.

The years had continued to pass by. There were always other boyfriends but they never had the love, the strength or the care she wanted. No-one was like her ranger. Then, when she became 20 she found out she had a rare degenerative disease that would eventually kill her.

And now, surrounded by her family, Tuesday Elen Thomas began to take her last breath.

Opening her eyes, Tuesday felt the presence of her family.

"Goodbye mum, I'll see you in forever." These were her dying words.

In the gardens of Minas Tirith a ranger stood, waiting. He had visited her in dreams, as she had strayed through his thoughts and the ranger had slowly grown enamoured of his "fairy maiden."

But now, his brow was creased with worry. His last dreams were most troubling. His fair maid, laid softly on a bed,

Passing away into death.

As Faramir pondered over how to reach his lady a gentle silver light trailed gently to the ground, revealing a young woman in jeans and a T-shirt.

The woman shakily got to her feet as the ranger turned around. There was a breathless moment as ranger and woman stared at each other, realisation dawning on each of their faces.

Faramir ran to the maiden, sweeping her into his arms and kissing her in joy. Tuesday returned the kiss eagerly, pure happiness shining on her face as she gazed into the eyes of the man who saved her when she was dying.

Faramir led Tuesday back to Minas Tirith, his heart happy as he led his fairy maiden back to his home.

Tuesday followed, realizing she was in middle-earth and that it didn't matter to her. She was with her ranger again and she had never been so happy.

And, as the two souls walked into the capital of Gondor,

Two doves, flying as one, soared to heaven.

Well, now that Faramir has a friend, who should I use? Any ideas would be much appreciated. You know how to get me, just review and I'll try to reply.

Till then,

Namaarie (farewell)
