Music blasted from every corner of the room and most of it was filled with happiness and relief. There were certain spots of sadness in the room, but it was overcome with the joy everyone else felt about the fall of Voldemort.
Luna Lovegood was dancing with scar and bruise covered Neville Longbottom, looking up at him dreamily. But with her usual dreamy look was a tint of admiration as she danced with him. She reached up and touched his cheek. They both smiled.
Parvati and Padma Patil, along with Lavender Brown, were all crowed around each other, giggling madly as they spoke to each other, pointing at a few seventh year boys that had made it to the party, completely oblivious to everyones sorrow.
Arthur Weasley and his wife, Molly, stood together with their arms around each other. Molly's head leaned on Arthurs shoulder and his leaned on her head. They both sighed and Molly closed her eyes.
Seamus Finnigan and Dean Thomas were discussing what had happened during the time the two best friends were apart. At something Dean had said, Seamus' eyes widened and he grinned, smacking him on the shoulder proudly.
Professor Slughorn and Professor Trelawny were dancing with each other and Slughorn was listening intently on one of Trelawny's speculations. When she was finished, he laughed out loud and Trelawny gave him a hurt look.
Professor McGonagall and Madame Pomfrey were discussing something on a couch and Madame Pomfrey bursted into tears suddenly and McGonagall sighed, putting an arm around the sobbing woman comfortingly.
Ginny Weasley stood beside her big brother George Weasley with a sorrowful look on her face, her head leaning on George's arm, who hadn't even seemed to notice that there was a party going on. He simply ignored everything now.
Cho Chang had taken it upon herself to burst out into tears and try to cause a scene, but almost no one payed any attention to her, instead wrapped up in their out dilemma's and reactions.
Fluer Delacour had her face burried in Bill Weasley's tear stained shirt, her arms around him protectively as if a Death Eater would pop out at any moment and kill him like they'd killed Fred.
Percy and Charlie Weasley sat across from each other from a table, both staring at George and Ginny, then at Fluer and Bill. Percy sighed and burried his hands in his face, still not over himself for abandoning his family.
Alicia Spinnette, Katie Bell, and Angelina Johnson all sat around a table, staring intently at George and Ginny, all having the same sorrow look on their face. Katie bursted into tears soon enough and rested her head on Alicia for comfort.
Lee Jordan sat on the other side of the room from George. He couldn't bring himself to look at his best friend knowing his other best friend was gone forever.
Hannah Abbott and Ernie Macmillian danced together with grins on their faces, obviously not noticing that the sadder people were looking at them with intense, angry glares on their faces.
Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger sat together on the couch with Ron's head in Hermiones lap, both with matching blank stares. A happy, gurgling Teddy Lupin sat on Rons chest and Ron held him up. Both their eyes were locked on Teddy, as if trying to avoid the sadness they felt.
Harry Potter stood leaning on the frame of the doorway with his eyes closed. Everything replayed in his head. Sirius died. Fred died. Snape turned out to be good and died. Remus died. Tonks died. Colin died. He got to talk to Dumbledore in his head one more time, and he was sure it was real. He defeated Voldemort. Harry opened his eyes and glanced from Hermione, to Ron, to Ginny, and finally into his hand, which contained the Elder Wand.
He'd bury it tomarrow in Dumbledores grave.
