I want everyone to know the story will go on, however long it takes. I've changed the title, storyline and ending of this story; originally I wanted to make obvious note of our characters' darker sides but I felt like it was a bit repetitive considering everything else. Don't worry, PARIAH's still hanging around, the gang's dysfunctionally together and hopefully Manhattan can be at some sort of peace.

DISCLAIMER: Metal Gear, Prototype and InFamous combine to bring you this, and this is the (un)official sequel to Pandemonium.

She screamed out, lashed out, fought back with all her might. But she wasn't strong enough. And that's what made her realise she had already won.

Red, vibrant love and a bloody death. White, innocent purity that lacks emotion. Black, ambiguous beginnings and unknowing end. Put together, side by side, means contrasting devastation.

Nix slowly walked to the edge of the towering building with PARIAH by her side as he curled an arm around her waist, planting a soft kiss on her cheek. The city was burning, dying, rotting away with buildings collapsing with the REDLIGHT virus infecting whatever it could, organic and not. People ran for their lives, people couldn't and were swallowed up by awaiting mass or ripped apart by glowing Brawlers. But she heard much more, saw much more. Her senses were awake, absorbing everything and understanding everything.

"This world will be made anew," she spoke in a fragile tone, like that of peaceful winds. "This world…it will find contentment. But first, we have to rid it of all things tainted." Her voice had darkened slightly as she felt the presence of whom were her closest friends miles away and nearing, fast. "They're here."

"I'll handle them, mon chérie," the blonde man told her before jumping off the building, and Nix smiled to herself before taking a step back and closing her eyes, the sight of several choppers coating themselves in stealth technology causing her smile to disappear. Hey eyes shot open in panic.

"Stop―" She couldn't even finish her sentences as they opened fire upon her, unleashing missiles and high-calibre rounds that choked up smoke where she stood, and didn't stop until their HUDs had told them of weapons' overheating. It was almost as if there was complete silence, almost the feeling that they've finally won, but little did they know that Nix had evolved beyond recognition. The Conduit banished the smoke cloud with a thought, and showed them that their carnage was her creativity; she had turned rockets into rose petals and bullets into butterflies that swirled around her even brought her hand up to let a fiery butterfly rest on the first knuckle of her index.

"Did she just…"

"What the hell…"

"What is she?"

"Me?" She answered through their comms as the butterfly took flight, their once confused facade cracking into something of absolute fear. "You can call we what you want, but I'm known as the Fallen. I see everything, I hear everything…I know everything. You can't win, BLACKWATCH. Because I've already beaten you." And with a ripping gesture of her hands, all seven aerial vehicles were torn apart. Nix let out a breath, clutching at her head as she felt something become undone. It was smooth, but not smoother enough as she quickly reversed it and regained her composure in seconds. "To think you'd use your head for once, Alex."

The woman turned on her heels to face him, her eyes lighting up as she could see inside of him. What his body, the virus, was doing. It wasn't just pulsing or morphing, it was changing…transcending bounds that the BLACKLIGHT virus couldn't even evolve to. That surpassed PARIAH. She saw not just how every cell communicated in harmony, but the nerves move faster than her eyes could follow and his muscles fuelled with something more than adrenaline and noradrenaline. It was beautiful. He was beautiful.

"Val, I need you to snap out of it…" He staggered to the side and Nix rushed forward, only to stop at the silent threat of having her head sliced off by his blade. "Don't come any closer―"

"But, Alex, you're bleeding…who did it? Did…" She gasped. "No, don't tell me that…that PARIAH…?."

"Who the fuck cares? I'm getting you outta―"

"I care…because you're beautiful." Her hand reached up for his blade but he pressed it against her neck, but felt his own biomass turn against him as it curled and warped into his arm. He stepped back in shock.

"Holy shit―how the hell are you doing this?"

"It's all in the matter of learning…everything is made from energy and particles, everything starts from the same thing." She lifted her hand and showed him, the BLACKLIGHT virus curling in between her fingertips and breathing out a red hue. "But you…you're different. I see something more than a virus. I see change."

"Val, for fuck sake, snap out of it―"

"Tu voir pas? The world is corrupted, plagued by something mankind started. You made me see that, PARIAH made me see that. That's the reason why I'm still here, to break the slate and create a new one."

"Raiden, she's losing it…!"

"You think I've gone crazy? Look around you, Alex. Manhattan is dead once again, because of what? Personal gain? Greedy ends? Your curiosity? You wanted to learn the truth and you did, causing millions of people to succumb to the aftermath of what became an actuality that couldn't be handled. All of this was your fault. You might be a virus, but you're living in a body of a sociopath who didn't even care about his own―" He moved at light-speed, but she didn't attempt to move as PARIAH blocked his attack with his own blade, the shockwave knocking his hood off to reveal the rage in his eyes. Now she could hear his biomass hum and vibrate, preparing itself to adapt according to his emotion.

"You don't know me."

"You say that but I know more than you can ever imagine. So stand down, or I make sure that virus eats you up from the inside out. I know how it works now, how it adapts, how it…forms. I could even control PARIAH, but he's told me a little secret that you'd hidden for all this time. You made a promise to him, didn't you?"

"Promise to wh―" Alex yelped as he was whipped off his feet with telekinetic power, using the building that collapsed by them as leverage to pin the Black Devil on and he gritted his teeth as metal and glass curved around his arms and legs, not whining or splintering under the sudden change in shape. "Val? Val! Get me down from here! Right fucking now! Raiden! She's gonna―" Blood had drowned his words as he sprayed it out his throat, Nix calmly walking up to him and running a hand through his curly, chocolate hair.

"Shush, it's okay, It's okay. Embrace it. Don't hold it back, you'll only strain yourself." She stepped back once with a slightly confused look on her face before using her hand as a blade to slice his midsection open, his screams becoming more fuelled with agony and displeasure. "You've been fighting your inner demon. Why don't you face him instead?"

"VAL! D-Don't―!" The cracking of his back and ribs wasn't the thing that concerned him what concerned him was the foreign movement of his own biomass slush and press against his own, but his voice was the only thing that could do its job: scream. His mind was hazy because he realised that Val, connected to the Hivemind, had sent a surge of energy that blurred his thought processes and his ability to regenerate his cells since it began to disobey the order he sent milliseconds ago. His strength flooded out of his body as it began focusing on the growing mass that rolled onto the floor, and PARIAH heard the sound of another heartbeat.

"He's..." PARIAH started, and the ropy puddle slowly formed the shape of a man that stood up out of his bloody puddle, and black and red melted down from the head that revealed curly hair, porcelain skin and a scar that burned on his left jaw. Nix grinned at the sight of the man who was going to change the world with her, and felt her heart beat faster as a hand picked up hers.

"Nix."

"ZEUS…I've been expecting you."
