Chapter 1: Percy
A/N: Okay, so this is a new thing I'm doing. Every chapter is a poem about one of the 7 heroes. Most of them will be downers, just warning you.
A child of the sea
You're so powerful
And dangerous
How many times
Have you hurt someone
Because of that?
How many times
Have you risked the world
To save one friend?
How many enemies have you made?
You've gone through a lot in your sixteen years
When are you going to break?
You might say
Never.
I'm perfectly happy.
But underneath your skin are cracks
Made because you've seen too much
Fought too many
And one day it's going to be too much
People expect so much of you
After all,
You've saved the world
Several times
But you want to tell them
I'm not always the hero
I can't defeat everything
I'm not perfect
And one day
They'll all see
You're right
Because in order to defeat something big,
Something needs to give way
