ONESHOT

Chapter One

After this battle, he would be famous for the impossible, as well as infamous to the English Empire. And he doesn't even realize it.

The battle seemed over, before it had even begun.

Seemed.

One archer, with one black arrow, against a small army of Englishmen.

Impossible, right?

Wrong.

After this, Ewan "Oneshot" Williams would make Robin Hood look bad.

The army didn't hesitate. They charged, yelling at the top of their lungs. Ewan gripped the center handhold of his metal bow with one hand. With the other, he gripped his black arrow.

"Thirty. I count thirty. That's not too bad."

He also carried a small pouch, filled with round stones. Next to it was slung a slingshot of metal manufacturing, like his bow. Both could slice a head off, if not, smash the brains out of it. Another prized set of possessions were his knife, dagger, dirk, and sword. Nothing special, for he, Ewan "Oneshot" Williams, was an archer at heart.

As one Englishman closed in on him, boldly brandishing a broken sword in its half. Ewan stabbed him with his black arrow where his gut was. He died before he hit the ground.

The "Battle of 'Oneshot'" had begun!

Ewan twirled his metal bow over his head. And as it sang out Death's Call, two Englishmen's heads and necks left their shoulders. Ewan rebrandished his black arrow, now with blood, and waited.

Three down, twenty-seven Englishmen to go.

Another Englishman ran at him, whirling a black hand-axe. Ewan knocked him off his feet, cutting his throat in the process, with a swift uppercut to the chin, using his metal bow.

"That's four, five, six…" Ewan muttered, counting the slain, "… Seven…Aaaah!!!"

Someone had snuck up on him and stabbed where his spine was a moment ago, now his right arm. Blood spilled out, but for only a second, for Ewan wrapped a torn cloth around it. Ewan stabbed the Englishman so ferociously with his black arrow that it split open, revealing its blue insides.

Two half-arrows.

He tucked them in his quiver, next to his sheathes and metal bow. He un-slung his slingshot, took out five round rocks from his pouch, took aim, and fired. He shot all of his rocks in a blur.
