Disclaimer: It should be obvious that I don't own either fandom. But Supernatural would make for a nice Christmas present.

Lightning tore the sky as he held the petite blond in his arms.

Even with her comforting presence, he could not sleep long or peacefully. Her sweetness, sincerity, and beauty were some of the things he liked best about her...but they bothered him as well.

She reminded him so much of Jessica. When he had first seen her in a white sun dress, he had inadvertently blurted out, "Jessica."

She looked at him with those great big baby blues, confused.

"I'm-I'm sorry. You just look like...someone I used to know," he managed.

Now, however, he could easily tell them apart.

Jessica was bright, sharp, and graceful. Those were some of his favorite qualities about her.

Minako had those moments where she held herself well with grace and could read between the lines of what he was saying. A lot of the time, she could be a klutz and a flake. But, she could pull it off and it made her even more lovable.

Both blonds had a unique air about them. Jessica had had this soft, sweet air. Minako was bubbly, vivacious, and bright energy. His late lover paled in comparison to Minako's light.

There were times though when if the light hit her face just right he would see Jessica looking at him. There were other times where he swore he could feel Jessica's eyes boring into him.

He had made some great new memories with the woman in his arms. Still, past memories kept creeping into his thoughts.

His eyelids drooped and he soon fell into sleep, dreaming of his past and present.

She woke up and looked up at her sleeping lover. She left a feather light kiss on his lips as she untangled herself from him and gave a small smile.

He was a handsome and complicated person. He was so loving most of the time, but there were those moments when he could be so distant. It hurt, but if there was one thing the blond could do well it was act. He didn't know that she knew that there were two women in his heart even though he told her how much he loved her most.

She knew that he saw her as the loving person he needed to take up where another had left off. Still, she didn't begrudge him. At least she had most of him. He was all hers in her dreams and days, and most of the nights. She could give this Jessica woman a couple nights in Sam's thoughts and dreams.

Love is hard to let go of. As long as he didn't let go of her, leaving her scrambling to find a replacement of her own. She could live with this arrangement.
