It seemed like hours.

His eyes widened in realization, his heart thumping heavily, his hands in the position of pushing him off, and his lips – kissing back.

Finally, he snaps back completely, and succeeds in sneaking a hand to Yoh's stomach for a nice, hard punch that sends him flying and eventually crashing into the wall. Hao himself almost doesn't recover in time, almost staggers back, before regaining his composure and wiping his lips quickly.

"That," He started, eyes a mix of accusation and confusion, "that was…" He paused, and straitened up before continuing. "That was…"

He trails off when Yoh smiles, a nervous, don't-kill-me smile, but nevertheless an action that Hao immediately deems to be mockery.

Then, Hao smiles too, a random smile that doesn't mean reassurance – one that doesn't mean anything at all, one that is just there for Yoh to intercept. It's only people who look for answers in everything, after all.

Bright red alarms ringing to the extent to breaking goes off in Yoh's head – things like 'He's going to kill me' and 'I'm going to die' and 'I'm hungry' and 'He kissed back' bounced around. Though, now was not such an awesome time to be thinking about the last two, because there were fireballs in Hao's hand and a creepy expression on his face.

"I'm…sorry?" He squeaks – almost, because Hao wouldn't stand for something like squeaking. At his brother's unchanging expression, his face faulted and all hope was lost.

During Yoh's panicking time, Hao had developed a scientific explanation for the almost surprising thing that had happened (he'll never admit it). Nope. Didn't shock him at all. He had also planned what to do next.

As if merely taking a stroll, Hao came up in front of his beloved brother and his grin grew wider.

Yoh froze as the alarms rang even louder, shaking his mind. His eyes were the only thing working, as they darted around to look for an exit.

There has to be a way to get out of here.

There has to be a way.

There has to –

His legs gave out and he collapsed, bringing Hao down with him. Well, no need to look for exits now.
