Wrecking Halloween
I OWN AND REGRET NOTHING!
…...
-Tapper looked up from washing a glass and saw two familiar people enter his bar. It was his old pal Ralph, and Skeleton Jack from the new 'Nightmare Before Christmas' arcade game they set up recently. They sat down and began to drink round after round.
Seeing these two reminded Tapper of something that been bothering him for a long time...
"-You know you two are a lot alike." Stated Tapper suddenly much to both their surprise.
He continued on without missing a beat. "Your both loners that grew tired of the 'Status Quo' that governed your world and set out on an epic quest of Self-discovery...that inevitably caused great calamity to befall said world."
Both Ralph and Jack looked at each other thoughtful, they'd never thought of it like that before.
Then Tapper sighed. "But do you know what's always bothered me about both your movies?...It's the moral they both seem to unintentionally show."
Both men looked at Tapper curiously. Tapper continued. "I mean you go on this grand glorious adventure...but then afterwards you just go back home and retake your old roles like nothing happened..."
Tapper shakes his head. "I mean what lesson are you supposed to take from that? Don't try new things? Nothing ever changes no matter what you do? Just accept your lot in life?...It's all so depressing really."
The bar is stone quite for a moment...Then:
"My good sir, what are you talking about?" Asks Jack. "Not everything went back to normal, I realized how dear Sally was too me and how much I loved her because of that quest...It would've been nice if I'd figured it out on my own earlier without needing that quest...But that's just life." He admitted with a good natured shrug.
Ralph nods in agreement. Yeah, and if I hadn't gone on my quest; I'd never have met Vanellope, Turbo would still be making her life miserable, Felix never would have met Calhoun, and the Nicelanders would still be treating me like garbage!"
Tappers contemplates this for a minute. "So what your saying...is that the moral isn't so much 'don't try new things'...but 'changes don't have to be big or far away from home to make your life better'?"
Ralph nodded. "Or we 'Didn't get what we wanted, but we ended up with what we needed.'" he added.
Jack nodded. "I couldn't agree more my friend." He says as they clink their mugs together.
Tappers nodded at that. "Okay...y'know that makes me feel a lot better actually." And just for the heck of it he gives them a free round of drinks...

AN: I know it says "in-progress" but really I just don't like boxing myself into a corner. For now this is more of a one-shot that I might continue one day...but probably won't.
But, hey. Feel free to use whatever elements you want from this, if you want! Or maybe give me ideas?
