"I'm telling you Reina this time it's sure to work. If I believe in myself anything is possible."

"Give it up Phillip there's a reason why you live in Bluebell instead of Konohona," Reina stated with skepticism towards his statement, "Besides, I can just tell from the disproportional size of your land compared to your plants, that half your plants would barely have enough room to grow. You should have at least spaced them out more evenly." Everyday Phillip would walk all the way to Konohona to try to work on growing crops, but he never had that green thumb that his sister Lillian always had. Right now his plants were at the best state they've ever been for Phillip. Little sprouts had pooped out of the ground.

"Come on Reina, be optimistic, optimism always pays off. Do you think I won so many cooking festivals by not believing in myself?"

"Sheer luck and besides the crops you used were mine so you had an unfair advantage."

"If you were so worried about making the competition fair then why did you give me those crops in the first place?"

Phillip's question caught Reina off guard. She didn't have a proper answer to his question. "Well, it was because I...I...I didn't want to have to look at your mopey face when you lost."

"Oh really, so what I'm getting from this is that you care about me?"

Reina was shocked. Phillip read through her too easily. She turned away from him before responding. "Not at all, I only have interest in plants, after all I'm a botanist."

"Suuurrrreeee,"

"Wha-what do you mean by that? I'm serious, I'm only interested in plants. Err, well maybe just a tiny bit I might actually-"

"Yes!" Phillip bursted out loud.

"Huh?" Reina turned toward Phillip. Phillip was laying on the ground staring at on of his many crops.

"It worked!"

"What worked?" Phillip got back to his feet before responding.

"I had a theory that the more we talked around the plants the better chance of them successfully growing and it worked! All thanks to you and me, Reina! Now what were you saying?"

"Grr," Reina's face had turned bright red and steam was practically escaping her head. She was very annoyed by Phillip's behavior so as a result, she slapped him upside the head.

"Ouch! What was that for?"

"For being you,"

"Now what exactly is wrong with that?"

"Absolutely nothing and that's what irritates me."

"Oh, so the botanist, Reina, admits that she likes me?"

"Now you and I both know that's not at all what I said."

"But you didn't deny it!"

"Um...I...well...sh-shut up!"

"No, no let's keep going, this conversation's making the plants look even better than before."

"I'm leaving!"

Reina stomped away from the farm until Phillip called, "Hey Reina!"

"What," she asked in an irritated state.

"Didn't I tell you optimism pays off?"
