Meant To Be
-Meant To Be-
(I DO NOT OWN CODE GEASS)
Preface:
Okay so this poem is my original work. It is in normal script. I also published this in my collection The Bitter Taste Of Truth but I published it without the italics. Everything in italics I DO NOT OWN.
-.
UPDATE:
Yeah so I love poetry and I love Code Geass.
Watching. Waiting.
For some sort of sign.
As the world went by.
"You know Lelouch should stop his gambling and start to worry more about his schoolwork. If only he applied himself," Shirley said to the Prez as she ate her lunch.
"Well aren't you worried about him?" Milly giggled replying to her. "You do realize that if you keep that up some people will be getting the wrong idea about you two."
"HUH? Wha- what? I don't know what you're talking about," Shirley said, her cheeks turning a shade of crimson.
Finally admitting the truth.
Only to find out what hell really meant.
"Okay, okay I admit it," Shirley cried out to Milly shaking her head. "I just don't know why. What's the point of loving someone who wouldn't love you back?"
"Well," Milly sighed holding the distraught girl close. "You'll never know if you don't tell him."
"Lelouch, my, my father," Shirley's lips quivered staying in rhythm with her shaking hands holding a gun to her once beloved friend. "All this time I thought I loved you- and you're Zero! I shot someone for you!" She cried tears daring to spill out of her eyes. "But still," she looked at him sorrowfully, "I still love you!"
"There he goes again," Shirley remarked as Lelouch and his brother ran off school grounds. "He should be more worried about his grades. I don't know how he'll keep up."
"Hey, Shirley, you know that by saying what you're saying I get to prance around saying 'Lelouch and Shirley sitting in a tree K-I-S-S-I-N'."
"STOP!" Shirley's cheeks were a shade of red. "That- that's not true."
"Hmm. Whatever you say."
At the end.
Death becomes known.
Yet the heart shines through.
"Lelouch," Shirley whispered her body leaving her mind. "It seems we always end up in this pattern. I'm glad that its you here- at the end. That you were the one I saw."
"NO! SHIRLEY DON'T DIE!" Lelouch said shaking her shoulders in disbelief.
"Lelouch."
"No! I command you not to die!"
"I just couldn't help it," she said crying silent tears.
"I COMMAND YOU TO LIVE!"
"Every time my memories were erased I still always found you. Even though you killed my father- I still fell in love with you. I guess you could call it fate. And no matter how many times I am reborn I'll keep falling in love with…"
"Shirley? SHIRLEY?"
"AUUUUUUUGGGGHHHHHHH!"
Eyes close shut.
It was all over.
