Challenge: This is the full version of a fic I originally wrote for a Comment-Fic LJ comm's 100-words-only prompt but was then too long to post. I thereby cut it down to where it was short enough to be posted but decided to keep both variations as they do differ a little.

"Shut it off," he growls, but still, Hardison ignores him and continues playing his loud and silly video games. For the life of him, Eliot can't understand the hacker's love of the war games. Life is too often war as it is, and too much real blood is spilled for him to ever be able to enjoy causing fake blood to flow like a crimson river on a television.

Besides, he's got other plans for the night, and Alec's video games are just getting in the way. With another growl of frustration, Eliot raises from his lover's bed, marches into his living room, and grabs him. "Hey!" Alec shouts, but Eliot ignores his protests as he carries him back to bed. He doesn't slow even as he hears the controller's cord snap.

Nothing pauses the hitter until he gets his man to their bed. There, he lays him down and climbs immediately over the top of him. He lays a finger against Alec's mouth, startling him into hushing his protests for a moment. "Trust me," he says, his deep voice rumbling almost like a big cat's purr, "what happens in this bed is way better than any game you'll ever play."

"Who says this isn't a game?" Alec teases, finally forgetting his other game as Eliot leans in closer.

"If it is," Eliot replies throatily, "it's the best damn game ever." Their passionate kisses do carry the guys into another world, a world full of passion and love where no blood is spilled and war, at last, is forgotten.

The End
