There I was, alone, sitting in the middle of the forest. How could I have been so stupid as to let get to me this much? And this easily? "Stupid, stupid, stupid," I muttered to myself.
I hadn't even known him a year and I was this devastated to lose him? I knew I shouldn't have attached myself to him, but how was I to avoid him? I shared classes with him and I was friends with his siblings. He sat in my room at night and watched me sleep for gods sake!
"And do you see where getting to know him got you, Bella? The forest, by yourself. Cold, wet, and miserable."
It was then that I realized that I wasn't any of those things. Well, of course I was cold and wet. That was inevitable. I mean I was in Forks, Washington. But I wasn't really alone or miserable. I had a family and friends outside of the Cullens that loved me and wouldn't ever leave me.
I decided in that moment that if the Cullens ever came back or needed me, I would be the one to leave them. My name is Bella Swan and I don't need stupid, sparkly vampires.. I picked up my sorry ass and walked out of the woods to join reality.
