Okay! This is my first fan fiction story. So cut me some slack, please! Oh, yeah, and this story's based on the books. In other words, no green guy named blunk. : )

Disclaimer:

Even though I wish I did, I sadly don't own Witch.

Chapter 1

"Mom," I called out from the stairway. "Mom, I'm awake!" I slowly descended the steps into the darkness of the living room. I felt around for the light switch, and clicked it upwards.

Rainbow lights flickered on across the living room. My mom sprung up from behind the couch in front of me. "Surprise!" she shouted.

I gaped in awe at the state of the living room. Banners and streamers hung from every wall, and every corner. "How'd you do all this without waking me up last night?"

Mom grinned mysteriously. "Magic," she answered.

Suddenly, Mom's cell phone began to ring. Mom looked at the caller ID and her face hardened. She flipped it open.

"Hello, Will," she said. "Yes I know. I'm going to tell her. I'm not going to let what happened to Elyon happen to h-"

Mom walked out of the living room and into the bathroom, to continue her call there.

That should have been my first clue that something was out of order. Or that something in order would become out of it. Basically that something strange was going to change my life forever. Arrgh, I confuse myself!

When Mom exited the bathroom a few minutes later, I asked, "Mom who's Will? What was that about?"

"Nothing important, Stella!" Mom laughed off the call. "Are you hungry? It's only ten o'clock."

I nodded. "Can we stop by the "Coffee Pot" on the way to riding classes this week?"

Mom shook her head. "I don't think we'll make it to riding class today. I need to tell you something important when we get back from the Pot."

I simply nodded, and we walked the 2 blocks to the Coffee

Pot.

Unknown to me at the time, a man with long blond hair stood in the shadows, smirking evilly. "Phobos will be pleased," he muttered. "She looks as gullible as Elyon."

With that said, he rushed off, running so fast he was almost a blur. And then he disappeared.
