Hey, I've had this Idea since I read an X-men 1.5/Danny Phantom Crossover and I finally finished the first chapter!
Just to let you know, in the comics, Kurt's teleportation leaves the smell of Sulfur, so I put that in here.
Hope you all enjoy Danny X!

I awoke in a dark place, not too dark, but dark. Sitting up, I groaned in pain. Then as I looked around me, I realized I didn't know where I was, and even worse, who I was.
I looked down at my feet. Red and white tennis shoes sat on them, and a pair of slightly baggy blue jeans wrapped around my waist. I had on a white t-shirt with a red, picture less logo, and red trim on the neck and sleeves.
Black hair fell into my face as I stood up and walked over to a puddle.
Peering into the muddy surface, I saw a nice face with a small bruise on the cheek and ice blue eyes under raven colored hair. Blinking a few times, I tried to comprehend this face. Was this really my face? Or is it a dream, or some kind of illusion?
Sighing, I stepped out of the dark place and realized I was in an alley. Bright lights greeted me and I squinted my eyes until they had adjusted. Then I looked around.
Tall buildings surrounded me and flashing lights boards were advertising things. Somewhere, in the back of my confused mind, I didn't think this was my home - Scratch that - I knew this wasn't my home.
Turning to the nearest person – a woman with brown hair and brown eyes – I asked, "What is this place?"
She looked at me up and down before responding, "You're in New York, kid." The expression she gave me could have passed as a "Are you serious?" look.
I nodded in thanks and glance around. Then I turned and started to walk away.
I didn't know where I was going, but anywhere was better than just standing there, lost. Wasn't it?

I stared at the reflection in the mirror. My pale skin glowed faintly and I put a hand to my face, pushing aside my brown hair, my forest green eyes sparkling.
Sighing, I moved away from the mirror and looked around my almost plain room.
My room mate, Kitty Pride, was still sleeping. I smiled faintly before putting on some clothes on. As quietly as I could, I walked to the door and looked back at the room.
Dark brown bed frames and white sheets. Pale walls and a plant sitting in one corner. I smiled softly to myself before slipping out of the room.
I padded quietly down the hallway, wincing each time the floor boards creaked under my feet. Then I made it to the stairs and went down. Technically I could phase through the floor, but I didn't want to end up in someone else's room, or show off my powers. The only person in the school who knew all my powers was Professor X, and I knew he wouldn't tell anyone unless I wanted him to.
As I entered the kitchen to start making a simple breakfast, I heard a voice in my head:
/You're up early Avery./
I responded back: /I know. I couldn't sleep. Something woke me up, but I don't know what./
There was a pause before he responded again: /I know. I felt something odd as well. It doesn't seem to belong here./
/I agree. Let's save this for when the others get up./ I thought back.
/They already are./
/Oh./
I knew the Professor was right for I heard the sound of pounding feet and all of a sudden smelt sulfur. "Kurt, I know you're there."
"Aww man!" Came a male voice.
I turned to see a boy with somewhat long hair, blue fur, pointy ears, whitish eyes, and a devil like tail. "To be honest Kurt, when you teleport, it smells like sulfur."
"That's why I can never sneak up on you."
I laughed before responding, "Yep!"
Then Kitty came in with Rogue and Bobby. "Morning."
Bobby smiled at me while Kitty said, "I didn't hear you leave."
I nodded. "Yeah, I didn't want to disturb you."
That's when Scott and Jean came in talking. I waved to them as I exited with a slice of toast and sat down at the table.
A few minutes later, Storm, Logan, Hank, and the Professor came in. I couldn't help but say, "Things suddenly got very busy."
The Professor smiled at me and Logan sniffed as Kitty entered with Kurt following her. Kurt teleported next to me and smiled, "Hey again Avery."
"Kurt!" I shouted, waving my hand in the air at the smell.
"Sorry."
I smiled at him. "It's okay. It's not your fault that your teleporting smells like sulfur."
Once everyone had finished their food and were talking amongst themselves, I stood up and took the others dishes to sink, cleaning them up. I jumped when I heard a voice behind me.
"Still the outsider Avery?"
I turned to see Logan looking at me. Biting my lip, I turned to him and said, "Still trying to fit in. It's hard when no one understands you."
"I know kid."
I glanced at the floor tiles. "I don't think you do."
A sigh. "Listen kid, I don't know exactly what you're going through, but I do know that most of us don't fit in with others."
"Yeah..." I said before turning back to the dishes.
After putting them all away, I heard the Professor's voice call out, "X-men and Avery, I'd like to speak with you in the Danger Room."
I looked at Logan before following him and the others to the Danger Room. Once assembled, Professor X began.
"This morning, I sensed something odd enter our realm."
This sent ripples of conversation through out the group.
"I believe that someone from another world has entered ours and he seems to be lost. I have located him and I'd like to send out groups to find him and bring him here."
Nods.
"Storm and Logan will lead the two groups." Then Logan and Storm started separating the team into two groups as the Professor called softly, "Avery."
Curious, I walked over to him. "Yes Professor?"
He turned his wheel chair to me after we'd gone off a ways and said, "I'd like you to go into New York City and look for this boy."
"Why?"
"I have a strong feeling that he might be there."
"Your sending me alone?"
He smiled warmly at me. "You won't be alone, I'll be right here, guiding you."
"But why just me?"
"Considering that you where the only one besides me who felt his presence, you might be able to talk with him with out him getting scared."
I nodded. "Yeah, a group of kids with super powers may freak him out."
The Professor nodded. "I'll send you off after I make sure the others are set."
Then he wheeled his chair back to the others and spoke with the groups. After a few words, they parted and walked off. He looked back at me and I nodded.
Nodding back, I followed them and set off. Unlike the others, I didn't have a suit to put on, I just left and got a taxi to take me to New York City.
Was that a Cliffy?
