Jesse admonishes herself as the tears slide down her cheeks.
Her eyes remain fixed on Riley's lifeless body, still sprawled on the floor. Jesse hasn't yet found the strength to try to move her. Instead, she's collapsed into the armchair by the window, mind numb as she contemplates her actions.
A large part of her hated ending Riley's life, but her logical side knew it had to be done.
Even still, it hadn't taken long for Jesse to start crying. But then again, she'd known it was coming. After all, her feelings for Riley had always been her biggest weakness.
