Swords and Speed: A Sonic and Lucina Story
Author's Note: So, Hi, this is my first story EVER! I'm giving this a real Shot. I have read a lot of the stories here, and I am a big Super Smash Bros. Fan. I have played all 4 of the major platforms. So this is going to be great.
Before I get started, just wanted to let you know that I don't own anything that deals with Sonic, or Fire Emblem series, or any Super Smash Bros titles. All plots are made up and created by me.
Alright, so I kind of want to do a story about Sonic, one of my favorite characters, and Lucina, one of my newest favorite characters. So enjoy. Don't want to spoil anymore surprises.
Prologue: Two separate times, two separate spaces, Two similar souls.
15 years ago
It was a sunny day in the Green Hill Zone. Everything was going as it should. Out of nowhere there a loud Crash! Everyone in the area ran to see what was going on. When they got to the spot they all stopped and stood there surprised.
What was in front was one of Dr. Eggman's giant robots. It had three heads, giant claws, two missile launchers, SMGs, and a flamethrower. Everyone didn't know what to do.
Then, out of nowhere, came the evil genius himself, laughing his usual merry way. "What are you looking so stunned for? Don't you see the splendor that is my EGG CERBERUS! It is the ultimate machine, bent on destroying anything in its' path. Now run in terror!"
At that moment, Dr. Eggman pushed the button on the Egg Cerberus, and then it unleashed its fury. Attacking anything that moved. All the creatures in the Green Hill Zone ran in terror to get away from the monstrosity. It seemed that all hope was lost for the citizens of this zone.
THEN, at that very moment, came a blue blur. It sped past everyone with no announcement whatsoever. It was easily breaking the speed of sound. Who could it be? None other than the small sneaker wearing, chili dog eating, spikey haired Sonic the Hedgehog.
Everyone looked in amazement as Sonic stopped directly in front of the beast. Sonic smiled and said, "Hey Eggman, long time no see. I didn't know that building giant mutants was part of your agenda."
Eggman gritted his teeth, "Sonic the Hedgehog, how dare you have the nerve to come and mock me. You will pay dearly. Egg Cerberus, annihilate that rodent!" At once, the robot turned and started its' assault against the Blue Blur.
The Egg Cerberus started by firing its SMGs at him, but Sonic was way too smart for that. He dodged every bullet and zipped around the rear of the enemy. At that moment, He jumped on its back. The Egg Cerberus felt the extra weight, turned its guns, and proceeded with firing on him. Sonic jumped up and did a homing attack right at one of the guns, temporarily disabling it. The other gun then took aim as Sonic came for a landing, and started to shoot. Sonic, who had it all planned, jumped immediately to avoid the gunfire, as the gun blew up its own weapon.
Sonic landed and smiled as if to say, "This is too easy." Dr. Eggman punched the panel as he saw his own creation fall for the hedgehog's ploy.
The Egg Cerberus threw off the rodent, and proceeded to continue. It opened its' missile launchers and released its' payload. Sonic jumped, landed on one missile, jumped again, landed on the other missile, jumped one more time, and landed on one the middle head of the robot. The other two heads saw the obstruction and tried to attack Sonic.
Sonic lunged off the middle head. The two attacking heads collided with each other, harshly denting their infrastructures. Sonic took advantage. Grabbing one head and putting it even with the other head. The two heads looked like a pretzel, with ones jaw locked around the others neck. It was too much for the one heads neck as the jaw of the other clamped down and broke off the left head.
Sonic hmphed as he smiled to see the work he had done. Eggman was getting furious, so he decided that it's time for desperate measures. He ordered his semi-ravaged monstrosity to pummel the rodent.
Sonic, having enough of this overgrown metal case called a canine, came up with his finishing offensive. The Egg Cerberus, now just two heads, two missile launchers, one SMG, and a flamethrower, opened up its' whole arsenal. It unleashed its total package on the small heroic hedgehog. Sonic curled up, charged up himself into a rolling motion and sped off at the beast. He ended up dodging all the projectiles, going into the mouth of one of the heads, smashing the core of the robot, turned, coming out through the hole of the, now crippled, flamethrower. Sonic landed to the ground, back turned, as the Egg Cerberus fell to the ground and exploded.
Sonic turned to face Eggman, now on the ground sobbing. He walked up the maniacal doctor. Dr. Eggman, now defeated and let down, could only look at the Hedgehog. "Never…Never have I accomplished my goal of defeating you. How can I ever beat you?" He looked away and fell to ground sobbing. Sonic just turned away, "I'm just doing my job…protecting this world from the likes of you." At that, Sonic ran off, quickly as he had showed up.
In another space and Time…
There sat a certain ruler in a field looking up at the stars, wondering. Her country is ravaging from a war. She just looked up into the sky as she thought to herself about the possibility of other inhabitable worlds.
This girls name was Lucina, ancestor to heroic king, Marth. She looked up into the sky pondering this possibility and hoped she was right. She didn't like to live in a country where there was trouble that called for actions other than diplomacy, but she knew she must always be ready for any possibility.
All she could do was sigh and hope that, one day, she would be able to come the conclusion, and maybe meeting a person who would show her how to be a true hero.
AND THAT'S HOW OUR STORY BEGINS…
So, there it is. As I was writing this first chapter, I couldn't help, but wonder how this is going to go down. I'm really excited to see where this goes.
