Chapter 1: Homebound

The cast was mostly complete. Lea, Dianna, Kevin, Jenna, Chord, Mark, Naya, Heather, Harry, Amber, and Darren. Vanessa and Becca showed up as the party crashers – so they say. Eventhough it was an open invitation sent out by Lea as she thought it had been a while since she saw them all together. The friends she spent seven frickin' life years with. After all, it had been almost three years since they last saw each other in the same room.

The gathering took place at Dianna's house. Lea debated that since it was her idea that they can use her place. She argued her cats may not like it so they can use her place instead. It could do with some people to lighten up the place. It's been abandoned by the disrespectful-owner-who-thinks-she-holds-a-British-passport for a long time, after all. Lea ultimately laughed, and agreed.

An hour has passed and everyone seems to be having a good time. Darren and Harry were the newly-weds that everyone seemed to enjoy having a friendly dig at. Heather was giving baby advice to Naya. Yes, Naya. A mother. Who knew. Vanessa, Jenna, and Amber were drunk off their asses. Happy girl drunks. Kevin took selfies of them, planning to use it as blackmail "when the time comes." Lea and Becca were talking about their next hike. Becca suggest they drag Jake along since he would really love it. Both laughed mischievously. And then there was Dianna. The host of the party sitting by the very antique looking fireplace cackling at whatever joke Chord was telling her. His boy just doesn't know when to give up. He chuckled at the thought of the many attempts Chord has failed to subtly ask her out. It feels like everyone but him knows how transparent his Dianna crush is and how she simply finds his endeavors "adorable". He, himself, hasn't said a word to her though. He was too caught up in admiring her features. She looks radiant, as ever. Though nowadays, she spends more time in the UK than she does back in the States. Everyone mocks her turning British and then it'll be her cue to fake an accent. Adorable. It appears that some things never change.

He remains seated in the corner of the room alone, beer in hand, just admiring how the gang's all gotten back together and how it feels like they've never been apart.
