Nala was resting on a rock on a beautiful sunny day when she heard a low noise that sounded familiar. Cracking open an eye, she spotted no one but still heard that noise. I know I'm not crazy. She thought to herself while becoming increasingly annoyed. Now fully alert, she took a deep breath and caught a scent that was all too familiar for her not to recognize.

"Tama, you can come out. You're not fooling me." Nala said as she rolled her aqua eyes.

"Oh hey Nala, what's up?" replied her golden pelted, orange eyed friend.

"This is the third time this week I've caught you spying on me. What's going on with you? I want the truth." As she spoke, she made sure the other female knew of her annoyance.

"Don't be ridiculous." Tama said this as she twitched nervously.

"You know, you're really starting to tick me off!" Nala snapped irritated.

"You're crazy if you think I'm stalking you! I was just in the area and by the way, you don't own these lands so stop acting like it!" She snapped back at her with equal irritation in her voice. Before the cream pelted teenager could utter a word, she was gone.

Damn that Tama! Why was she stalking me again?! And purring...? Hmm... She ran off to go find her and sure enough, she did. She was talking to her mother.

"Mom, you've got to help me! I can't stop thinking about her! She's so beautiful and perfect and…"

"Oh sweetheart, you're in love! It's perfectly natural. As the great kings say "Love is never wrong and so, it never dies.". I think you should talk to Nala and see what she says."

Oh my kings! She…she loves me?! The next thing she knew, she fainted and came to when someone was calling her name.

"Nala? Are you ok?" Tama said as she stood over her

"I heard everything. How long have you felt this way? Why didn't you just tell me?!" The young lioness just stood there in sheer horror and tears threatened to spill out of her eyes.

"How could you?! That was a p-private conversation! I…I…" Tama could no longer speak as she sobbed and ran off again. Nala began running after her, following wherever her paws took her. They ended up in an oasis far away from the Pride Lands.

"Tama please wait! I'm so sorry I eavesdropped. I just wanted to know why you were stalking me."

"Well now you know something that was none of your business!"

"Really…none of my business?"

"Just go Nala! Go back to Simba and live happily ever after with your king!"

"He's not my betrothed anymore. He's with Malka, remember?" She told her as her heart felt heavy. Her feelings became apparent when she caught the orange eyed teenager stalking her a second time.

"Look at me." Nala commanded. She then looked up with all that heartache in her eyes. The aqua eyed lioness could no longer hold back as she thrust her head underneath the other's chin.

"You…love me?" Her voice was breathless as she asked. Nala said nothing as she licked her now girlfriend's muzzle.

"I love you too." Her kiss was returned as she heard the familiar soft low noise coming from Tama's throat. A sound that lulled her to sleep when she was being watched.
