Down Where the Wildflowers Grow
~ By CyberMew Y2K
Down in the green field,
Where the wildflowers grow,
There were two children playing,
As if there was still snow.
One was brave,
Adventurous; and handsome
The other was beautiful; careful,
And filled with wisdom.
The two laughed,
Both feeling a bit insane,
As if all their worries,
Were flushed down a drain.
The boy's blue eyes looked into hers,
Unfolding a vow of eternal love,
Her skin; so gentle to touch,
Like the feathers of a dove.
Oh; how they longed for each other!
After years of growing; soon becoming inseparable,
The two had never let go of their heartful love,
And soon got into trouble.
The King of Hyrule had forbid the young lady,
To ever be with this peasant boy,
And yet he never knew,
Their secret love and joy.
Seven years past; the girl looked filled with sorrow,
As she stared out her balcony window with puffy eyes,
The boy; now 17; was riding his horse,
Yet; he was suffering also.
"If my father hadn't been so cruel," said the girl,
"I would be with Link; and hopefully be his wife,
For; I love him more then anything in Hyrule,
And we would be King and Queen for love's life."
"And; if my father wasn't so abusive," she continued in sob,
"I would actually love him…stupid fat blob!"
