Translator's notes:
Hey everyone, what's happening? I haven't written in a long time, since all of my creative energy is going to my music projects, but I still read a lot of fanfics, especially ones in foreign languages. As a result of looking for Pokeshipping stories in Spanish, I ran across a fantastic piece of work written by two authors, SirenaMisty and Pikarito (or PikAshley or whoever, the name is never consistent). The plot is very unique, the fic never fails to surprise, and the character development is excellent. I felt that it was an injustice that such an interesting story was limited to the Spanish-speaking audience, so I asked SirenaMisty for her permission to make an official translation, which she very graciously gave to me. Fanfiction in English, like it or not, have a much broader audience, and both authors agreed that they wanted to reach a wider readership, and I hope that I can do that for them.
If you speak Spanish, please go read the original, called 30 Días Contigo, I could never do the original work justice. No translation is perfect, I'll probably flub a few words, and to keep things in idiomatic context and grammatical order, I needed to paraphrase here and there. Because the original chapters are posted every 10th and 20th, I'm going to post one translated chapters every 15th and 30th once I catch up with the original fic, until then I'll post them as I get them translated. I'm a very busy dude, so I may miss the dates sometimes. You're all authorized to kick my ass if I do. That all having been said, thanks once again to the very creative SirenaMisty and Pikarito for letting me do this, agredecio a ustedes otra vez por esta oportunidad. And now, without further ado...
30 Days with You

Author's notes:
Well, I have some good news, and it's just only not this new fic, co-written with my beloved PikAshley, but also that I've gotten unstuck on "El misterio de la rosa," and it will soon be updated ^^.
And now, with respect to this new fic, it's a new challenge that my friend and I started. You all know that I like the idea of bringing new things to the fandom, like "Sintonía" was, for example. Keeping within the same cliché thematics of Pokeshipping, as always, in this case it will be a fic that talks about a month in the life of Ash and Misty, and the number of chapters will be exactly the same as a month, with one chapter dealing with one day.
I would like to tell you all that I'm reviving an old idea that I used in a fic years ago, and as I was re-reading it, I thought to myself: "This story isn't very good, but the idea in general is…" And just like she did with 10 Cosas, PikAshley gave me the spark to go back and turn it into a new fic, one that was totally different from the one I had thought of before!
So, I hope that you will enjoy the idea, and that you'll stay with us during this challenge.
We leave you with a chapter that explains how they arrived where the fic will begin.
And now, we're ready to start!
Hydroelectric hugs!
Oh, and also, my apologies to MRioja for forgetting you in the last chapter of 10 Cosas… so that you'll forgive me, I dedicate this entire chapter to you!
Introduction: Day Zero
Ash Ketchum inhaled deeply as he stepped out of the car that took him to Neon Town. As current Champion of the Region, the 21-year-old found himself on a tour of motivational talks for potential Pokémon trainers and beginners who had recently submerged themselves Pokémon journey and the adventure it carries with it.
Really, he liked it, even though at first he thought that as Champion he would just be sitting and waiting for someone to challenge him. There was much more to being Regional Champion, there were conferences, events, talks, trips where he had to just sit and watch how others battled without being able to say a word or raise an opinion. And that had been very hard.
He shook his short, dark hair and put on the red cap that his faithful yellow companion gave him.
"Thanks Pikachu," he said, petting the mouse between his pointed ears. "If I don't use the cap, I'm going be stormed by fans, and we don't want that."
"Pi!" Pikachu agreed, furrowing his brow.
"Alright, I'm going to drop you off at the Pokémon Center, and later I'll go change for the conference today." He walked away from the car in the direction of the Center, glancing at his phone a couple of times, feeling a bit annoyed.
"Pikapi?" the mouse asked his trainer.
"I tried to call Misty all day, and she's not answering!" He clenched the phone in his right fist. "After this I don't want her to start complaining that I remember everyone else's birthday, and not her's."
"Pika…" the Pokémon said sadly, who also was anxious to hear the redhead's voice. They walked a couple of blocks until the building that served as the Pokémon Center rose in front of them.
"Alright, we're here. Pikachu, enjoy the Pokémon Spa," he said, giving him to the pink-haired nurse who was ready to take him.
"Relax, Ash, he's in good hands!" she said, bowing once.
"I know, I'll see you tomorrow," he bid his Pokémon farewell, putting his arms out to stretch while he turned and left for the hotel where he would be staying for the night before leaving for Saffron City.
He walked with his face hidden by his hat until he got to the luxury hotel. Neon Town, as he remembered it, was the city that never slept, and it was still that way eleven years later. He arrived at the hotel and went to the reception area for his entrance card.
"Welcome to Neon Town, Mr. Ketchum," the woman gave him a form, which Ash completed with his information. "We're very glad that you have chosen our hotel for your Motivational Talk." She bowed and later took the sheet that Ash had filled out.
"Thank you, I hope to have good service that'll make me come back," he responded with a crooked smile, returning the pen to the chestnut-haired woman, who blushed at the tone that he had used.
"Al- alright," the receptionist closed her eyes and inhaled deeply before speaking again. "Your suite is on the 7th floor, and as a show of our courtesy, you may use the refrigerator in the room without any additional cost."
"Hmm, interesting…" with a smile still on his lips, he took the white card that had a golden, engraved "7B" on it. "Thank you." Without saying more, he walked to the elevator that would take him to the room that he would be staying in that night, and where he would surely be hiding from his mini fanclub that usually bothered him wherever he went. He looked at his phone and checked the time, it was one o'clock in the afternoon.
...
"Why do I have to do this?" the redheaded woman protested while her sisters threw her blue suitcase in the trunk of the taxi, which was parked in front of the local gym.
"Misty!" Daisy slammed the door of the trunk and looked at Misty, her brow furrowed. "You're turning 22, girl-" She angrily got closer to her. "And on top of that you're, still single!"
"And it's OK that you're ugly and you see yourself as an old lady," Lily closed her in, hiding her hands behind her pink hair while Misty observed the two-piece suit that she had put on for her supposed meeting that she would have. "But you don't wanna miss the boat."
"Go, OK!?" Violet begged, putting her hands together in front of her. "Don't doubt us! You'll have the best week of your life," she assured.
Misty, feeling resigned, looked at her sisters and nodded, accepting their invitation to celebrate her birthday by taking a week of vacation in the city that never sleeps.
"I'll be at Tracey's if you need anything!" Daisy said as Misty stepped into the taxi.
"OK," she affirmed, sighing as she leaned back into the rear seat of the cab. "Bye, sisters."
"Take care, ugly girl, we love you, happy birthday!" the three women said, perfectly in sync, watching their younger sister leave Cerulean City.
Misty watched her sisters until they were out of sight, looked for her cell phone, and checked the time- it had just turned nine. She turned it off, opened it up, and took out the battery.
"If I'm going to rest, we're going to do that and only that!"
Translator's notes:
And with that, the stage is set. I'll run my mouth less next time. Next chapter, things get interesting, so I hope you'll stick around!
