FAN-fic.this is how I wished the game would have gone.

Note #2: Janus is the god of death and rebirth in roman history..so...you'll figure why that name is fitting..no?

Asellus stood in the room with the dizzying array of lights, and an awful second-marking noise, trying to gain her courage to speak to him. Who, you asked? The Mystic Lord of Time, of course. Pale hands folded gently in front of her, she waited for him to take notice of her presence.

"Why did you awaken me?" The man spoke with such a blank, yet strong tone that startled the green haired half-mystic. He kept now, his back to her waiting for a response of any sort.

Asellus shivered with slight fear. He was a mystic after all, and no doubt he had to be strong. She could feel that. "I...don't think I can do this." She thought, backing to the door. The Time lord turned to her.

"Why did you restart my clock?"

Why had she restarted his clock? Was it some silly way to prove to herself that she was strong? Had she needed such a challenge before knowing deep down she could go on, and do as she had promised White Rose? "I...I came to ask of your help...M-m." She stuttered with apparent fear. "Oh great..." she scolded herself silently. "What a wonderful way to ask for help. Show how utterly pathetic you are!"

He eyed her with an inquiring gaze. "My help, you say? And with what do you need my help?" He held back a small laugh. It was odd indeed seeing someone who was strong enough that his aide and his friend Virgil deemed worthy to let pass; Odd enough to see someone who had braved his monstrous guards; someone who had restarted his clock and come to him, to be so afraid.

Asellus spoke now, with newfound confidence, Her hatred for the damned man behind this all, burning within her soul. "I wish to defeat Orluge. I wish for him to fall and cry for mercy with such passion as his victims have cried to him."

The time lord smiled to himself. Such fiery words for a young girl. This would be interesting. "If I may inquire, What is your name?"

"Asellus..."

Ah, Asellus. He had heard that name before. News of Orluge's new prince did travel fast. Though, with the very nature of the name, and the very nature of the title, he had not expected this "prince" to be female. And such a lovely female at that.

"I will help you." He again, spoke coldly, Only to keep his seemingly pressed-upon reputation going. Oh no, he wasn't a harsh man at all, but she certainly thought he was, and the feeling it gave him was a nice change indeed; To be feared, instead of fearing.

His answer came as a surprise to Asellus, as well as the three others; Zozma, Rei, and Rouge. It was a good surprise though. None of the four could help but smile with the gain of a new ally. A soft, womanly voice spoke what they all felt. "Thank you, Janus. We are greatly indebted to you for this."

Janus? The time lord looked curiously to the woman. Who knew of such name? Surely only someone who was part of Orluge's dynasty would know such a thing. But then again, no one had escaped accept- "Rei." He smiled. "I am glad to see you survived being reborn."

"Survived?" Violet bangs moved across her forehead, as her whole body shook with such laughter. "Of course I survived! I am not weak!"

The whole group had to laugh at that.
