Mamoru loves having Usagi as his girlfriend. He really does. In fact, she's more than his girlfriend really. He sees her as his soulmate, his partner, his happiness.

"Mamo-chaaaaaaaaaaan. Why do you always wear that blazer? You look like you're covered in moss! We're going shopping." Oh no. Soulmate. Partner. Happiness. Soulmate. Partner. Happiness. This will become Mamoru's mantra throughout the day.

"Whatever you want Usako", he says with a kind smile.

Within five minutes of shopping, Mamoru is carrying a mountain of jackets and navigating his way around by following Usako's squeals as she piles on even more. "Ooooh! Try on this one, and this one. And this one! " If this is the result, I'm never wearing that blazer again.

He's also trying valiantly to stop a jacket avalanche from squishing poor Usagi, because, you know, he always tries to protect her like that. No one would want to see the legendary Sailor Moon brought down by the merchandise of the men's section of a clothing store.

Unfortunately, by Usako's standards, none of the jackets are right for Mamoru.

Hours pass by, and they haven't found the right one. He slowly loses his mind in the stuffy changing room while waiting for his lovely, crazy girlfriend's slender arm to appear above the stall's door handing him another jacket.

The things I go through for her. I'd much rather be fighting a monster.

"Usako, don't you think we've shopped enough for today? ", he finally said to her.

Usagi countered quickly. "Haven't you ever heard the saying 'You should finish what you start'?"

"That sounds familiar…but how come you've decided to start following that advice now? How about applying that to studying, or reading a book, or even baking some cookies?"

"Can't you just let me do something nice for you? Hmm?" Oh crap. She's using the eyes. Usagi had perfected the art of the puppy dog eyes. She could somehow make her eyes sparkle. Literally sparkle.

"…..Fine. How about that one?"

Once they exhaust the selections offered at the department store, they head back to Mamoru's apartment empty-handed.

Upon entering the apartment Usagi's disappointed face turns mischievous. Never a good sign.

"I guess nothing suits you better than that jacket. But…that just means I'll have more fun taking it off."

Usagi then proceeds to plant such a passionate kiss on Mamoru's lips that even the Goddess of Love herself may have blushed.

"I'm going to get a snack", Usagi abruptly says while moving to get off of Mamoru. Oh, no you don't.

"Hasn't anyone ever taught you you should finish what you start?" It was Mamoru's turn to look mischievous.

"That sounds familiar…" He sees a flicker of amusement in her eyes as he leans in to the place he loves most in the entire world. Usagi's arms.

Mamoru's horrible, green jacket then hit the floor to be forgotten for a long while.
