Summary: Poem. A secret eulogy from L to Watari. A take on what he might have said at Watari's funeral, if he'd lived to go to his funeral.

-

If I believed in heaven,

That's where I think you'd go.

The sky of blue jelly beans

The ground of frothy snow.

-

And if in life you treasure

Then in death fear is gone,

But death is most terrifying

For those who have withdrawn.

-

You didn't allow your pride injury,

Said that insults and jeers were absurd,

'Don't ever let anyone disconcert you,

Always remember, they're just words'.

-

In losing you, the world has lost,

Someone accomplished and fulfilled,

But it shouldn't be thought of as destruction

You always preferred instead to build.

-

Watching you die was painful,

Perhaps more than you know,

The extent of my love was hidden,

Something I don't allow myself to show.

-

So this eulogy will stay,

In this heart and in this mind,

Which was torn, along with yours,

Is though it was designed.

-

If I believed in heaven,

That's where I think you'd go.

The sky of double bubble gum

Cotton candy clouds below.

-

In this piece of mine I've tried,

Even though all is skewed and blurred,

To describe my emotions combined,

But in the end, they're just words.

The main purpose of this poem is to write something from me to my grandpa. He died this morning (of a massive heart attack…go figure), and I thought I should inform you guys why there was yet another delay in ROH. There's funeral planning, the funeral, sitting Shiva….the chapter is halfway done, though. Please be patient for just a little while longer.

I hoped you enjoyed the poem, though. I always thought of Watari as grandfatherly, so it fit. :) And the candy stuff sounds like L…sort of trying to make it more child-like so that it seems less real. Anyway, I love this poem. PLEASE tell me what you think about it. XD
