Pain two
The following months after Sirius' arrest were pure hell for Remus. Both James and Lily were dead as well as Peter. Sirius had killed everyone Remus loved. Baby Harry was at his aunt and uncle's home. Remus was scared for the little boy. From what he remembered, Lily had told him that her sister and her husband were cruel hateful people. Remus had tried to adopt the boy but since he is a monster in the ministry's eyes, he would never get to adopt the boy.
FIVE YEARS LATER
Remus was living in a tiny apartment barely getting by. His bed remained cold without his lover and his heart was still in pieces. He had wanted to see Sirius but he still could not forgive him. Werewolves are not allowed to visit inmates anyways. Since the werewolves are "morally corrupt" they can't be allowed in, they might break out inmates.
It was snowing outside. The snowflakes dancing in the sky.
FLASHBACK "Hahaha Rem baby look it's snowing" "I can see that Padfoot" Remus said with a chuckle. "I bet you didn't see this" Sirius got on one knee and asked Remus to marry him. "Sirius we can't get married its illegal because of my condition," Remus said sadly. "I don't care if we have the paper work, as long as I know your mine forever" Remus knelt down and kissed Sirius. "Yes" END FLASHBACK.
TEN YEARS SINCE SIRIUS' ARREST
Remus sat down to drink his tea. This apartment was better than the last but not by much. The August rain was gently running down the window.
FLASHBACK Thunder cracked threateningly leaving flashes of light in the dorm. It was third year and Remus was still afraid of thunder and lighting. The other boys were sleeping peacefully while Remus shook under his blankets. Sirius woke to the sounds of someone quietly crying. Getting out of bed, he located the crier. "Remus are you okay?" Remus was embarrassed but shook his head no. "Move over I'm crawling in," said Sirius Sirius held Remus and comforted him from the storm. "Thank you" said Remus. "Remus I have to tell you something" Sirius looked scared as he started with his confession. "I love you Rem… more than I should" It took Remus a minute to realise what his friend was saying but once he did, he smiled. "I love you too Sirius, also a little more than I should" That night the boys shared their first kiss and storms never scared Remus again. END FLASHBACK
14 YEARS
It had been a year since Sirius Escaped and was living with Remus again. All the anger and guilt was forgotten. Soon their days were filled with happiness and peace. Harry was a wonderful help with Sirius' recovery from all of the mental hardships he faced in Azkaban.
Food fights in the kitchen on Saturdays. Stolen pieces of time to make up for years of hurt and loneliness. Hours of lovemaking filled up the weeks when they were alone in the house.
One night they were laying on the roof staring at the stars.
"Remus I will never leave you again, ever. I want to be with you until we are too
old to stand, until the sun burns out, until the stars fall out of the sky. I never want
to go another night without looking into your eyes as we fall asleep. I don't know
what's going to happen to us but even if I die I will find a way to watch over you"
For the first time in years Remus' heart came alive and he felt like he could finally
breath again. The years had been hard but the finally were going to have their
happily ever after.
16 YEARS
Remus' heart died again. The sun burnt out, the stars fell from the sky… his love is gone and never coming back. The memories fill his mind and there is only pain.
