Percy's P.O.V.
I sat there and looked up at the stars wondering about what happened last week. I saved Camp Half-Blood, Luke died and Annabeth and I started dating. I know I shouldn't be out past camp hours, but I had a feeling I had to be out there. I sat there for about an hour until I saw a shimmer of light in the distance. The light got brighter and brighter and I was forced to cover my eyes until I heard a voice calling my name.
"Percy, it's alright, it's just your father," said the all-powerful god sitting by the sea. "You did very well last week my son."
"Why do you choose now to thank and congratulate me?" I thought aloud.
Poseidon explained to me that he did not feel as if the gods thanked him enough for what was at risk.
"There is a greater challenge ahead and I want you to prepare. It is not right for me to tell your destiny, but it is the oracle's duty. I will tell you to remember your roots and where you came from," Poseidon winked and disappeared in the blink of an eye.
I thought about what he said for a while and then I eventually gave up. How could there be a bigger task ahead for me? What did he mean about 'remember your roots and where you came from'? I tossed and turned until morning and I saw Annabeth's blonde hair and gray eyes. She ran up to me immediately noticing that something was wrong. We walked around the camp not telling her of Poseidon's visit last night. Grover ran up to us, nearly falling when he came up to us. His horns were growing faster and faster every day.
"Hey G-man," I said casually.
Grover fell over in shock of my voice. He was acting very edgy and nervous ever since after the war. He tried to act normal, but something was bothering him as well. I let it slip passed my mind as I saw Rachel walk passed us.
"Rachel!" I screamed and ran towards her "did you hear anything or any new prophecy's you want to tell me?" I asked thinking about what my father said.
She faced me with a huge grin on her face and replied, "No Percy, and even if I wouldn't tell you."
A sad face rolled onto my face with that news but I tried to hide it as I had training to do. It was Friday, so we were playing capture the flag and my team had to win. The day flew by like Poseidon's message to me. It was time to gear up for the game.
The teams were: Blue team, Poseidon, Athena, Hephaestus and Hermes. The red team had Ares and the rest of the camp. We all suited up and got ready for the game, that I thought was going to be easy after the war. It turns out I was wrong.
Besides the fact that I was impossible to kill, I still had a couple cuts and bruises everywhere. The Ares team was just as hard and brutal as I thought they would be but the Aphrodite team came on very strong. I expected them to stay out and spectate but that was not the plan. I guess they realized everyone has to fight once in a while.
Annabeth in the middle of all the fighting and bleeding found the flag and claimed victory to the blue team. We all celebrated that night with dessert and the red team doing all the chores for us. We all were having a great time until the fire got out of control and finally died out. In its place was Hera, coming for me. The last thing I remembered was Annabeth calling my name and holding me.
