"Sly! Sly!"
I looked up from the Thievius Raccoonus and asked, "What's up Bentley?"
"I thought you would like to learn something interesting," Bentley said.
Bentley handed me a case file containing information on Inspector Carmelita Fox. I opened it up and flipped through the pages.
"It's the last page," said Bentley.
I flipped to the back and scanned the last page where I read some interesting information.
"Well, well," I said. "That is interesting. You know what this means, don't you?"
"I'll start gathering blueprints," said Bentley.
"Murray, get the van ready," I said. "We got a job."
"On it Sly," Murray said enthusiastically.
Later that night, I ran across the rooftops of Paris on my way to the Police HQ with a package in my backpack. As I made my way there, Bentley radioed me and said, "Be careful, Sly. Carmelita will still be on her guard."
"Right," I answered.
I jumped on to Police HQ's rooftop and looked around for any nearby guards. Since there were no guards around, I walked towards a nearby door, opened it, and ran down the steps. I walked into an empty hallway and radioed Bentley.
"Bentley, where's Carmelita's office?," I asked.
"It's on the 9th floor," said Bentley.
I walked to a nearby elevator and pressed the down button. I entered the elevator and pressed the 9th floor button. The elevator heads down to the 9th floor and I begin to wonder how Carmelita would react to the package. The elevator stops and the doors
open. I walked out of the elevator as the other elevator doors opens. To my surprise, Carmelita walks out of it, reading papers and walks my way. I quickly opened a nearby vent cover and crawled in before she could spot me. I place the vent cover
back in place just as Carmelita walk by.
"Well, I guess I'll just find her office from in here," I said.
I moved through the vents, looking through each vent cover, until I spotted Carmelita in hers. After watching her sign some papers, she walks out the room, giving me a chance to slip in unnoticed. I opened the vent cover and crawled into the office. I
took the package out of the my bag and placed it on her desk along with one of my signature calling cards. As I prepared to leave, I noticed my wanted poster on the wall and autographed it. Suddenly, Carmelita walks back into the office and is shocked
to see me.
"Good evening, Inspector Fox" I said. "I just dropped by to…"
Before I could finish my sentence, Carmelita pulled out her Shock Pistol and started shooting at me. I dodge the blasts and jumped on top of her desk. I lunged at her and just as I expected she ducks, allowing me to land in the hallway. I ran towards
an elevator and slide in before it closes its door. I pressed the 1st floor button and as the elevator goes down, Bentley radioed me.
"Sly, you need to get out of there quickly," Bentley said. "The whole place is on alert."
"Don't worry, Bentley," I said. "This place just went on alert. I'm sure that I'll be able to walk out the front door."
The elevator doors open and I was surprised to find all the cops aiming their guns at me. I quickly leaned against the wall and hit the 15th floor button. The elevator heads up and I radioed Murray. "Murray, I gonna need a pick up, pal," I said.
"On my way, Sly," said Murray.
The elevator doors open and I noticed Carmelita shooting at me. I ran up the steps to the rooftop and made my way to the edge. I spot the Cooper Van, just as Carmelita arrives.
"Freeze, Cooper!" Carmelita said. "You have nowhere to go."
I simply smiled and jumped off the roof. I activated my paraglider and glided to the top of the van. I looked up to an irritated Carmelita and waved goodbye. I jumped into the van and Murray pulled off.
"Did you complete the objective, Sly?," Bentley asked.
"Yep," I answered. "I hope she likes her birthday present."
