She can hear it. The pounding of his heart against her temple. Her head against his chest. She wouldn't change a thing about this moment. The feel of him next to her, as she wanted for months since they first planned for him to come in and visit her. The feeling of longing and lust between them flutters across the room.

His fingers intwined with hers as they lay on blankets sprawled out in Melissa's living room.
"I'm so happy." She sighs peacefully.

"I'm not," he retorts quickly, "this is terrible, I gotta get the hell outta here."

She smacks him playfully and giggles, "shut up, I was trying to be cute."
"You are cute." He smiles.

Melissa moves up off his chest and leans against her elbows so she can look at him, take his features all in.
"What're you doing?" He asks chuckling after a few moments.

"Nothing."

"That can't be nothing. I know you're thinking, that's your thinking face."

She crunches up her face and goes cross eyed, "what about this one?" She asks.

"That's your 'this is what my ex's face looked like' face." He says laughing. "Hopefully. Am I right?"

She leans down and kisses his forehead. "Anything for you, babe."

Suddenly and swiftly, Matt moves up and is on top of Melissa, his arms holding him up a few inches away from her face.
"Well hello there." She giggles shockingly.

"Hi." He winks down at her.
Suddenly the joking manor has left. In this moment here are two people who are realizing they don't want to be anywhere else then here. Melissa runs her fingers gently down his jaw and back to her side.
He looks at her lips, she looks at his lips.
"I want to kiss you." He finally says.

Melissa's body tenses of anticipation. "So kiss me."
And Matt does what he's told, for once. He dips down and kisses her mouth. First soft and sweet. Then the kiss deepens. Now Melissa is no longer the innocent one, she tugs his shirt and kisses hard fast and quick.
One of his hand is playing with her hair, and the other hand is grazing her hip.
Eventually, Matt stops for air, and moves just slightly so his face is still inches from hers.
They're both panting and fighting back goofy smiles.

"Matt," she starts, "I need you."He smiles down at her, catching his breath.
She continues, "I need you by my side everyday, every night. Making me laugh making me smile, hugging me, kissing me. I want my bed to smell like your vanilla scent every night and every morning. I just want you and me."

He lays his hand on her collar bone. "Okay."
"Okay." She smiles.

"Only if. . .you tell me that face was your 'this is what my ex's face looked like' face." He plays jokingly.

She laughs and teasingly smacks his shoulder. "I really fucking love you, you're lucky."

"I really fucking love you too."
