Let me tell you my story

It is quite simple

You'll think it's funny

And maybe you'll cry

It's a story about a man

It's a story about his life

It tells you how he feels

And it tells you how he dies

He has many friends

Who are no more

They remain in his mind

And will never be gone

Some had to die

Some had to leave

Some had to forget

Some were thrown back in time

He always knows who

But never quite why

They are called companions

And he treasures them more than life

All are different

All are the same

All saved worlds

And the people within

The man has a blue box

It helps him to travel

From here to there

And a universe through

If you meet him first

He'll say 'I'm the doctor'

And you may ask

'Doctor who?'

An adventure awaits

When he travels through time

And travels through space

With you at his side

And when the time comes

For you to leave

Don't shed a tear

Give him a smile

The doctor has it worse

He knows many more

And everyone that left

Cried for him

The doctor and the tardis

Are often with friends

But when they part ways

He remains left

He knows so much

And so many

That it would kill someone

To know as much as he does

The madman in the blue box

Knows everything

That has ever been

And ever will be
