From the very first day Ludwig could remember his world has been filled with color.

Vivid orange and shy pink painted the sky while green and blues made up the water underneath the bridge.

He remembers the ruby red lipstick his mother would put on before she left the house and the amethyst tie his father put on every Sunday.

But his favorite color is the colors that belong to his brother Gilbert.

Those eyes that can pull him in for hours at a time, those eyes that felt like the warmest summer day and the harshest winter night and those eyes that no matter where he was...no matter where they ended up...those eyes reminded him that home is wherever the owner of those eyes was it'll be home.

Those eyes are his beginning and end.

October 3 1992 is the date that flipped Gilbert's world upside down or rather made him see the world in a different way.

Gilbert already knew about the whole coloring process from his parents and the kids at school. He actually remembers one day coming home and crying into his mother's arms because of not being able to see the pretty 'blue' sky and vibrant 'green' meadow. God, he remembers being so frustrated and pissed with his mother's reassurances saying "In due time" and " Your to young to be worrying about that right now, honey. Live in the moment".

But Gilbert didn't want to live in the moment he wanted to live in the awesome world of color where he could pick out his own clothes and do other cool colorful shit that his parents get to do!

Sadly, no matter how many girls hands he held or even kissed, like in the movies, he continued living in his world of monotony.

Until October 3 1992 at precisely twelve o'one he finally seen what his dad meant about Ludwig having pale blonde hair.
