"Locked Together In Hatred"
Prologue
The manison looked over the town on the hill, with it's huge walls and stone gargoyles the victorian home looked menacing. Acers of woods surrounded it, behind it, a facility only seen from the sky, that of course, if you had permission to fly across it. p
A stray dog wandered in front of the house, sniffing the grass and chasing a squirrel up a tree. It lay in the shade to escape the hot sun. As night fell the dog got up, only to hear the growl of another. Not having a chance to turn, the dog was no more. Only it's dark blood soaked the ground were it had once laid.p
Up the far left window, Alfred Ashford watched the dog's demise, smiling as his own dogs dragged it's lifeless body away.
He looked back to his diary and finished the last of his entry. Getting up he grabbed his side, still sore from when he was shot not more than a few
monthes ago, but at least Alexia was taking care of him now. He walked over to his music box and turned it on, listening to the childhood tune
that he and Alexia had learned so many years ago. He sang softly along with the music filling in the missing lyrics,
"...the king was loved, but the queen was feared..." He thought about the past few months, how hard it was to re-build the Umbrella
laboratory with no one knowing, how Alexia was so distraught over losing all her work on the island of Rockfort, how she would
sit in her bedroom and not come out for days, looking out her window in a stupor. "...and arrow pierced his tiny heart..." i'Alexia!'/i
he would call from her locked door, i'Alexia, please come out! I have no one to talk to, my long hours of work have left me ill...Will you talk to me?'/i
of course he would get no answer. "...He lost his wife, and his lady love." Eventually Alexia did come out, it was late at night,
Alfred was in his den polishing his antique weapons. A shadow made him look up, i'Alexia?'/i he had called, no answer
but he was sure it was her, getting up he followed her out of the house into the garden he had build especially for her.
She sat down on the large fountians edge, making tiny circles with her fingers in the water. i'Alexia',/i
Alfred had said as he caught up to her,i 'Alexia.' 'I'm ok now, brother.'/i she said with a pause. i'It's time we finished where we left off.'/i
