I suppose I need a disclaimer... only for the first one though... right? Okay, here it goes: "I do not own any of these characters, places... blah blah blah. They all belong to Mr. Takahashi himself, so take them... I want them... I need someone to duel once and a while you know, since Erin is terrible... Oops... did I say that out loud, sorry..."
A streak of sunlight emerged from behind the dark clouds as a boy with long, shiny silver hair walked down the sidewalk, alone. His face was scarred terribly, along with his knees, legs, and arms. Each scar glowed crimson with dried blood. His eyes, flashing a deep purple when the sun hit his young face.
Upon turning the corner, the boy was faced with an obstacle in the road, one of the first duels of the Atlantis Tournament. "I summon another Arsenal Bug in attack mode..." cried on of the duellists over the gathering crowd, his glasses shining so brightly, that his bugged eyes were barely visible. Bakura walked to the edge of the crowd and watched.
"Ready Weevil, because my Jinzo's looking for his next victim" replied the more confident of the two as his android pulverized the sword-wielding bug.
Bakura wandered off, down a darker alley now, only to find a large teenager beating up and young boy for his rare cards. Bakura's inner hero arose and his eyes flared from calm purple, to raging red. Suddenly, the streetlight in the dark alley went out. When it flickered back on the man was lying mangled on the ground, a large hole pierced through his abdomen.
Bakura scampered out of the alley, holding the boy in his arms now. When he put the boy down, he smiled and his eyes flickered deep gold. "Keep outta trouble, kay?" said Bakura, then turned and left, handing the boys cards back to him.
Heading towards the docks now, Bakura was called from behind him, "Hey you... wanna duel? Winner gets the losers cards..." said the voice. Bakura turned around to find himself face-to-face with a man in a dark purple cloak. On the hood, near the man's forehead was an eye, like the one on the millennium items. "Well...?" the man said, his voice very forceful.
"Uh... sure... I guess, kinda high ante, don't you think?" Ante meant risk in duel terms, and all the opponent's cards was a risky bet.
The man smiled, his nose upward concealed by shadows, "Precisely...". Bakura shrugged then drew his first five cards, about twenty feet away, "Let's duel!"
