A if for Annabeth
I mean, seriously. How could A not be for Annabeth, my best friend, my girlfriend, my companion, etc. This is hard. What should I tell you about Annabeth? She's tall, gray-eyed, and blonde. And if you call her stupid because she's a blonde she will wring your throat in the middle of the night. Daughter of Athena, typical know-it-all...yep, that's Annabeth.
So Annabeth was talking to her siblings about some sort of nerdy brainiac mathematical stuff, and I was just there, standing out of her window staring at her. A bit stalker-ish, I know. Well, Malcolm, her brother, decided I had the wrong idea in mind, and gave me the "if you do anything at all to Annabeth I swear to every single god I know that you will be beaten to a pulp Malcolm style". So I did the most natural thing. I started backing away. But if you every met Annabeth before, she has this glow, this light radiating off of her that made you not look at anything else but her, and her alone. Please don't tell Annabeth I said that, she will beat me up.
Note to self next time I'm backing away from something. I don't have any eyes on the back of my head. That said, I guess the fact that I backed up straight into a tree wasn't that surprising. And because of that, Peleus decided that I was food, and sent a jet of flames right into my face. I may be water-proof, and I may have the curse of Achilles, but I sure as heck am NOT fire-proof, and the stupid curse didn't cover fire. And if you hadn't noticed, a charred face with flaming blisters and over-roasted head, along with a screaming Percy doesn't make the best of combinations. And to top it off with all THAT, Malcolm thought I was trying to get Annabeth's attention. So he started chasing me, and that was pretty much the worst day I had with Annabeth. Oh, and the entire Hermes cabin started cheering Malcolm on, and the entire Athena cabin obviously backed Malcolm up. And since the whole Athena cabin was chasing me, Annabeth got extremely pissed that nobody was listening to her, and began to pursue me ALSO! So it was basically a over-protective brother, two whole cabins, and a extremely pissed girlfriend chasing you. Not the best of days...
