Chapter 1
One rainy day a boy is walking his dogs by the lake like he
Always does then for the first time he hears a wolf howling. He
Got frightened and hurry home. Then he heard something in the bushes and started running home, but a wolf jumped out in front of him. Startlled he fall back and got all muddy. The wolf sat there waiting for him to get up. He got up and stared at the wolf for a second and asked, "where did you get that necklace?".
The wolf looked at the boy with its bright green eyes, barked and ran off. Still frightened the boy ran home.
After dinner Edward went to his room
"That was so scary and weird. I wonder where it came from." Edward said quietly to himself" as long as I lived here I have never seen a wolf. The only wild animal I've seen there are birds and that old cat." .has he lays down to go to sleep, to his dog "do you think we will see it again?"
---At school--
"Hey Ed what's wrong? You haven't said a word all day." Gerrit said
"Nothings wrong. I'm just thinking. Where do wolves usually live?"
"I don't know. Why do you ask?"
hesitant to answer edward said, "well...yesterday when I was down by the lake, first I hear one then, when I was going home it jumped out in front of me!"
"Then what? You don't look like it attacked you"
"Cause it just sat there and stared at me then took off."
""Wow! Freaky dude. Will you go to the lake still?"
"Of course! What kind of question is that?"
"I don't know. I wonder if you'll see the wolf again."
Ed looks down at his paper then looks back at Gerrit and answered "I...I kinda hope so..."
