CHAPTER 1

The first rays of sunlight slowly rose up with the morning, crawling into the room of the two lovers sleeping peacefully. Light danced over the room and the furniture, slowly waking the two people up.

Kagome Higurashi opened her eyes sleepily and groaned with morning stupor. She rolled over to gaze upon the face of her partner. God, he was handsome. She brushed some of his long, silky, silver hair out of his eyes, which, when he was awake, were a deep shade of amber. Kagome scratched lovingly behind his fuzzy dog ears.

A deep sound, 'Almost like a purr'Kagome thought with a silent laugh, emanated from his throat. She pulled herself up against him and buried her face in his shirt.

She flinched as the bite mark, still fresh on the crook of her neck, got a shot of pain. But all the pain was worthwhile. She got to be with Inuyasha forever.

"I love you Inuyasha," she whispered into his ear.

Hearing her voice, Inuyasha opened a sleepy eye.

"Mornin', beautiful," he said and leaned down to kiss her. She accepted his show of affection by pressing herself closer to him and snuggling down into his chest. He held her to him and sighed happily into her hair.

"Hey, Kagome?" Inuyasha had just realized something.

"Hmmmm?"

"Did we leave the door open last night? Because it's open now."

Kagome shrieked.

"Sota!!" she growled as her little brother collapsed onto the floor, shaking with laughter.

"You…guys…look…so…FUNNY!" he managed to choke out before lapsing into hysterical giggles. Kagome was blushing fiercely. Inuyasha was doing the same.

"Get OUT!!!!!!!!" she roared at him and he ran out of the room, still laughing like a madman.

"MOM!!!!!" Kagome shouted.

"What is it dear?" Mrs. Higurashi looked very sleepy. One of her slippers was missing, and her bathrobe sash had been tied very hastily.

"Sota was spying on us!" Kagome was furious at Sota, humiliated, and ashamed that she was whining to her mom.

"Oh, I'm sure he was just having a little fun," Mrs. Higurashi said in Souta's defense.

"Still, it is pretty funny listening to what lovers say to each other when they're alone!"

she added with a giggle. "Especially you two!"

Kagome thought back to last night. What had they said to each other?

(begin flashback now)

It was almost midnight when they got back from Kagome's friend's "couple's only" birthday party. They had all the traditional games that you hear about at that type of party. Kagome's favorite was seven minuets in heaven. Inuyasha was a dang good kisser when he let go of his pride.

When they finally got back they were so exhausted that they just collapsed into Kagome's bed.

"Man, that was great," Inuyasha commented as he pulled her up to his chest.

Kagome giggled as she felt his lips brush the back of her neck.

"Yeah, but it wouldn't have been the same without you," she said into his shirt.

Inuyasha leaned down and caught her lips in a loving kiss. Sleep had claimed them soon after that.

Kagome blushed with realization. 'Sota heard all that?' she thought.

"Inuyasha?"

"Yeah?"

"We need to get a lock on that door."
