A/N: Shamelessly taken by the Taylor Swift song. I wrote this in class because I was bored and all mistakes are my own. Enjoy!

Darcy stood in front of the mirror and took a deep breath staring at her reflection with her new high heels shoes on. She was really nervous about this first date and wanted everything to be perfect. He always said he didn't like when she wear high heels. The relationship started out great but as it time went on he just got more difficult. She pulled out her headphones on and locked the door and proceeded to the café to meet her date.

He always criticized her music choices saying it was weird especially James Taylor. Jane would frown at her when Darcy mentioned the new detail about herself that he didn't like. In the last eight months, Darcy felt that all love ever does is break and burn and end. Since then, she has tried to come out of her shell and be excited about new things before him.

Darcy walked into the café expecting her date to be late, but to her surprise he was standing waving at her. He pulled out her chair and helped her in. She says you don't know her nice that is but I do. They started talking and she jumped surprised when he threw his head back like a little kid and starting laughing. When she then explained the exploits of Jane and her during their time in New Mexico. Darcy thought it was strange that her date thought she was funny because he never did.

Before Darcy knew it two hours had passed with all their story telling and their mutual tastes in music. As they walked down to her apartment building she was tempted to invite him up. Then he started talking about the movies that he and his friend used to watch and every single Christmas they survived during the depression.

She said good night and kissed him on the cheek which immediately turned bright red. They made plans to meet up in the next couple of days. As Darcy was getting ready for bed she couldn't help but think about her ex. He never thought was funny and that all love ever did was bend and break and end but on a Wednesday it began again.
