A/N Hello Readers! This is my first multi-chapter story, so please review and let me know if I should continue. Enjoy! It's based off the movie National Treasure but I do not own the rights to PJ or National Treasure
Percy Jackson and the National Treasure
I don't like Kaliningrad.
Russia is cold, which is definitely not swimming weather (my favorite hobby), but I had a job to do, and Percy Jackson always gets the job done.
I knew that hiring Grover would do some good but Luke thought it was a bad idea ("We don't need to split the treasure with a third party Perc"). I had grown close to the guy over the past six months but Luke kept his distance, as usual.
Grover and had found that the Amber Room was still in Russia. We knew it was somewhere in one of these three abandoned buildings.
After myself, Luke, Grover and Ethan found nothing in the first two we found two hallways under a grate in the basement. We decided to split up, me with Luke and Grover with Ethan.
"I don't trust the guy Percy." Luke said once we were halfway down the hall.
"Well I do, he's a good guy. If you had talked to him at all you would know that."
"Whatever man, let's just keep going."
Once we'd reached the end of the hallway there was a door covered in amber stones.
"Well" I said, "Looks like the right place"
Once we'd gotten Grover and Ethan, I looked at Grover.
"Let's do this''
I opened the door and inside was over 500 candles and a table in the middle of the room. I turned to Grover and gave him a high five "Nice job man!". "Thanks Percy" he gave me a smile from under his beanie.
While we had been talking Luke and Ethan had already made it to the table. On it was
a tube that looked to be made of ivory with engravings all over it.
"What the hell is this." Said Ethan, Luke looked to be in agreement with him. "This," I said taking off my glove "is another clue my friends." I took out my swiss army knife and sliced a cut on my finger rolling it onto the tube. I then took out my journal and rolled the tube onto the paper.
"The legend writ, the stain affected. The key in Silence undetected. Fifty-five in iron pen, Mr. Matlack can't offend."
"What does it mean?" asked Grover. I sat on the floor to think
The key in Silence undetected.
"The next clue is to a map of some sort that isn't visible to the naked eye" I said
Fifty five in iron pen, Mr. Matlack can't offend.
"Iron, is firm. Mr. Matlack couldn't make the map visible because it was on the back of a firm resolution that he wrote that 55 men signed."
Grover gasped, "Why the hell would Catherine the Great give a crap about the Declaration of Independence"
"I don't know Grover but this is where we stop." I said.
"Why the hell would you say that Percy" Luke said angrier than I've ever seen him.
"There is no way in hell that the government would give us permission to preform tests on the Declaration of Independence" I said standing up and getting in his face.
"That's why we're gonna borrow it" he said gritting his teeth.
"To hell we're not" I said mirroring his face.
"Yes we are" Ethan said out of nowhere. I turned to him he had a gun to Grover's head, "Or say goodbye to your little friend" Chimed in Luke who appeared in front of me pointing another gun at my head.
"I'm not gonna let you steal a historical document that's locked up by the government" I said staring my so called 'friend' in the face.
Luke breathed heavily out of his nose, "That's too bad then", then he lowered the gun. And shot me in the thigh.
"Percy!" Grover screamed.
Then it all went dark.
