There are many pictures in her room. Happy pictures, whimsical pictures, funny pictures, sad pictures. But they aren't of her or her mother or of her unmentioned father.

They are all of a pretty girl with brown hair and eyes like emeralds.

The camera caresses her form, capturing her in every mood possible. Petulant, joyous, anticipating, determined, impatient, sorrowful.

She wears a variety of costumes, from ordinary to the bizarre. Pleated skirts, enormous hats, puffed sleeves, colorful gloves, tiny shoes.

People are curious when they see only that girl on the walls, on tables, framed everywhere. They murmur compliments at the shining nature of the girl that beams from each photograph.

And she laughs and agrees.

Her Sakura-chan. Her beautiful Sakura.

But not hers. Never hers.

Sakura-chan is here but she is also not here. She's out there. With Li-kun, smiling for him.

She picks up a picture of her beloved. Sakura blushing as she becomes the princess on stage, the princess she always was.

All she had were these photographs now.

Sakura-chan living eternally youthful, only a memory.

A dusty photograph.

Well, you gotta love Tomoyo. She's so unselfish under that strange exterior. She loves Sakura... almost to the point it's creepy, but never mind that. She knows that Syaoran loves Sakura and is willing to step aside because Sakura is happy with him.

As for the thought that Tomoyo would only have pictures of Sakura in her room, is inspired by certain fics and watching the second Cardcaptor Sakura movie. I mean, it makes sense, ne?
