You Are My Sunshine
Harry/Hermione
Harry Potter quietly walked into Griffindor (I know that's not spelled right, sorry) common room and flopped, ungracefully, onto one of the many couches. He was just about to fall asleep when the portrait hole closed with a loud bang; he sat up and looked toward the entrance. He smiled when he saw his girlfriend, Hermione Granger, walk in and plop onto the couch next to Harry.
"How was your day, sweetheart?" Harry asked turning and looking at her.
"Horrible!" She exclaimed angrily while taking her shoes off and scooting closer to her boyfriend.
"What happened?" He asked putting an arm around her and pulling her closer, she smiled slightly and rested her head on his shoulder, still looking at him.
"In potions today Snape asked if anyone knew the answer to a question. As usual no one did anything, so I raised my hand and answered the question. Of course my answer was correct, Snape looks at me and says, "50 points from Griffindor, that will teach you to speak without being called on." I then argued that I wasn't really speaking without being called on. He then got very red and basically yelled, "another 50 points from Griffindor." So now half of Griffindor house is mad at me because I lost us 100 points! Professor Snape is so unfair!" Hermione exclaimed with angry tears in her eyes. She furiously wiped them away and hid her face in Harry's shoulder.
"I know something that will cheer you up." Said Harry with a smile, gently lifting her chin in his hand forcing her to look at him, he wiped her tears away with his thumb and kissed her forehead.
"Oh yeah… what?" Hermione asked quietly.
Harry smiled at his brown haired girlfriend then leaned down close to her ear and quietly sang…
"You are my Sunshine
My only Sunshine
You make me happy when skies are gray
You'll never know dear, how much I love you
Please don't take my Sunshine away".
When Harry finished his song Hermione smiled and claimed Harry's lips with a tender, loving kiss.
"I love you so much, Harry. Thank you for cheering me up." Hermione stated with a huge smile gracing her beautiful face.
"You are more than welcome, my sunshine." Harry replied pulling her close and kissing her lips again. When they broke apart Harry was the first to speak.
"I know we just said this a minute ago but… I love you." Harry said looking into Hermione's warm brown eyes.
Hermione laughed slightly then reached a hand up and caressed Harry's cheek with the back of her hand. "I don't care how many times you tell me you love me in one day… because I love you too." Hermione said still smiling while claiming her boyfriend's lips in yet another loving, tender kiss.
